Paris Meets Chicago at the Elysian Hotel

While Chicago has its share of luxury hotels, many of them are known for being a bit blah in the design department. However, the  188-room

Elysian Hotel

has shaken things up a bit, quickly becoming the most glamorous hotel in the Windy City. Architect Lucien Legrange created the gorgeous 66 story tower with a Beaux Arts facade, influenced by the classic elegance of Parisian architecture.

Using Coco Chanel as their muse to channel 1920s Parisian chic, interior design firm

Simeone Deary Design Group

created the hotels sparkling interiors. This showstopping chandelier is their design and manufactured by

Baldinger

.

The rooms are gorgeous and if you love the look, the black, white, and grey palette is always a chic combination. Pale grey walls,  a little high gloss black paint for the doors, bright white trim, and you have a chic backdrop.White high gloss furniture and beveled oversized mirrors, paired with nickel lighting, provide subtle touches of bling. A grey satin headboard and charcoal velvet upholstery complete the luxe look.

I love the drama of the Presidential Suite. The patent leather headboard is softened by the pretty floral motif curtains. The lamps were designed by SDDG based on a 1920s design.

The wallpaper in the lobby lounge is Tek Wall Parable in Alloy manufactured by

Maharam.

Using the key elements in this room–grey grasscloth wallpaper, charcoal velvet sofas and chairs, black lampshades, and black and white coffee tables offers a recipe for a glam living space.
