New Offset Multi-Family Housing Complex in Albania By Stefano Boeri Architetti

has designed a new offset multi-family housing complex in Albania, near the Albanian Presidential Palace. The construction on this complex is expected to start along with the opening of a new studio in Tirana.

The project occupies a narrow portion on the significant avenue of Albania. It is designed as overlapped cubes and the façade opens onto a large public space within the urban fabric of Tirana, which connects the housing complex to the city directly.

As stated by the project director of Stefano Boeri Architetti

looks like a composition of overlaid cubes and comprises of the vertical assembly of a series of autonomous residential modules.

Moreover, the housing complex hosts various commercial and recreational activities during which the basement is completely opened up to the city. These kinds of activities helps in strengthening the connection with the urban life of Tirana.

It is designed this way not only to ensure that every living unit has at least one balcony but also to allow each apartment to have different views to offer a perception of the city of Tirana.

In addition to the Blloku Cube in Rruga Pjeter Bogdani and the Vertical Forest in Rruga Dervish Hima, a third building designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti is under construction in Tirana. This new residential project is located in Rruga Ibrahim Rugova.

Apart from these, Stefano Boeri Architetti is also building several other buildings in Tirana, which includes three schools that will double as 24-hour community hubs.
