have seemingly taken over interior design, this sleek workspace in Mumbai emerges as an example of how to master

neutrals

. The colour scheme is only fitting, given that Luar Beauty is a cosmetic brand for diverse Indian skin tones. Their workspace nestled in a leafy lane in Andheri, Mumbai designed by Bombay-based boutique practice Iram Boxwala Design Studio offers a unique brand and spatial experience that is reflective of its core identity – innovative, bold, and empowering

Custom curved walls, a bespoke desk, a bean-shaped logo, and brand-coloured lighting from Golden Triangle cocoon the serene reception area.

The open-concept workspace — subdivided into clusters — can accommodate over 25 people. Cohesive across its public and private programs, Luar Beauty is imbued with a warm ambience throughout. Juxtaposing communal areas with more residential-feeling-focused spaces, the office is designed with flexibility in mind.

Earthy tones and warm Chevron flooring from Nileya Wall & Decor – define an open collaborative workspace comprising IKEA furniture.

An inviting reception leads to a central space doused with natural light. An open workstation layout encourages engaging conversations and collaborative work. Tucked away in one corner, is a cosy pantry space complete with an informal dining area, coffee stations, relaxed seating and a whiteboard for more casual conversations and lunch breaks.

Inspiring words 'bold, bespoke, and beyond' are carved into the walls of the director’s cabin, with lime plaster paint adding depth to the space.

Beyond the collaborative workspace is a private cabin. A sliding glass partition allows the cabin to transition from a semi-private or private space. An executive desk and a small lounge space make up the interiors of the cabin. When the door slides fully open – the private cabin feels like an extension of workstations. Even when closed, it provides visibility through the glass partitions, ensuring connectivity and openness.

The office design embodies Luar Beauty's identity with their colours and signature curves, capturing their brand essence in every detail.

The entire office is rendered in muted beige tones, in a variety of tones and textures. Lime plaster paint walls, and ceilings complemented by chevron wood floors evoke a tactile, earthy quality, while Bouclé upholstery brings in an element of softness. Each of these textures heightens the play of light and shadow throughout the interior.

Mint green accents and earthy textures define the pantry space. Comprising custom tables, and a versatile glass board allow for the dining space to double up as an informal meeting area.

Natural stone and custom-fluted cabinetry in a neutral palette infuse the washroom with warmth and luxury.

The heart of this workspace in Mumbai space lies in its brand-centric design approach. Throughout, every detail – from the signature curves and custom track lights designed to mirror the curves on their logo, to the colour palette and the customised furniture – all correspond to Luar Beauty ethos and deliver a refined aesthetic. The goal was to craft a sensibility that combined the curves and colours into the design, ensuring every detail from the furniture to the lighting embodied their aesthetic creating an inspiring environment that feels like an extension of their brand.
