Qili River Activity Center

The Qili River Activity Center is situated along Jinshui East Road, complementing the scenic surroundings of Qilihe and Binhe Parks. The U-shaped structure features exhibition space at the bottom of the northern section, benefiting from natural light. The upper level houses diverse spaces, including a multifunctional hall, activity rooms, and educational spaces. The southern section, positioned above the water, serves as a hub for community interaction, offering shared services like a communal kitchen, co-working space, and a children's book bar. The architect employed a geometric language of straight and curved lines to weave together elements such as the building, water features, plaza, and pathways. The warm white artificial stone walls and translucent glass surfaces create a light and welcoming atmosphere, floating gracefully on the serene dark water. The first-floor glass utilizes ultra-clear, high-transparency glass, allowing users to wander within this sculptural building where light and shadows flow, providing a multi-dimensional spatial experience.
