Site Constraints

本次干预所涉及的场地为一片老旧的停车场，位于法国旧军营遗址旁，该军营目前已成为展览的第一部分。该场地需转化为一个高质量的公共空间，而项目实施须在有限的预算内以最简方式完成。

The intervention site is an old parking lot adjacent to the former French military barracks, which contains the first part of the artworks and needs to be transformed into a quality public space. The project must use the simplest possible means, given the budget allocated for the operation.

项目核心概念及主要变化

Key Concept of the Project and Its Main Variations

我们选择设计一个带有遮荫功能的结构，既能吸引过路行人，又能框景观、遮阳避光。该建筑意在通过展示一排直接取自本地标志性石灰岩峭壁的石柱，来引入展览的主题。遮棚的设计追求节制，甚至带有某种原始感，通过堆叠这些峭壁石块构建而成。

We chose to design a shaded structure capable of engaging passersby while framing the landscape and protecting them from the sun. The architecture seeks to introduce the theme of the exhibition by displaying a colonnade of stones directly extracted from the region’s iconic limestone cliffs.

为了给这组体量感十足的石柱增添对比感，整个结构上方覆盖一层极薄的金属板，从而营造出一个具有庇护感的公共空间。这片金属屋面与石块形成共鸣；在建筑上，它将景观切割成一系列框景画面；在结构上，它构成一个加强的静力整体。

The design of the canopy aims to be frugal, almost archaic, in how it stacks the pieces of limestone cliff. To crown the intervention and contrast with the massiveness of the columns, a very thin metal sheet tops the structure, creating a sheltered area within the public space. The metal roof resonates with all the stone blocks. Architecturally, it cuts the landscape into a sequence of frames while also creating a reinforced static ensemble from a construction perspective.

曾经作为停车场的空间，如今被转化为一处带遮荫的前场，意图唤起感官体验，并引导人们以全新的方式使用此地，与当代艺术双年展的策展内容建立连接。

The practice of the old parking lot transformed into a shaded forecourt now aims to be sensory and invites a new use of the space in connection with the curation of the contemporary art biennale.

建造系统与所用材料

Construction System and Materials Used

作为承重构件的石材，均来自距离场地不到一公里的一处废弃采石场的边角料回收。所有大型石块均为干式堆叠（不使用黏合剂），确保结构可逆性，同时展现某种“脆弱性”，呼应展览主题。

The stones that constitute the load-bearing elements come from the reuse of offcuts from an abandoned quarry located less than a kilometer away. The massive stone blocks are placed dry (without binder) to allow the reversibility of the structure while expressing a certain fragility that reflects the theme of the exhibition.

为达此目标，堆叠石块接触面上的切割经过精心设计，以最大化其接触面积。旧停车场的沥青地面也以最简方式进行了再利用：依旧采用本地石材，在不同形态下呈现。首先是铺设白色碎石，再利用切割石块时产生的石粉，与石灰结合成结合料，用于勾勒出场地路径。

屋顶则锚固在顶部的石块中，以调动结构本身的重量，抵御强风带来的掀动现象。

The roof is anchored in the crowning stones to mobilize the weight of the elements and combat lifting phenomena caused by strong winds.
