Uchronia对时尚设计师Eli Mizrahi巴黎公寓的改造丨法国巴黎

When fashion designer Eli Mizrahi—the visionary behind Mônot’s sculptural eveningwear worn by Hailey Bieber and Kate Moss—decided to create his Paris pied-à-terre, he turned to Uchronia with complete creative freedom. The result is a 300-square-metre apartment in the 8th arrondissement that marries 1860s Haussmannian grandeur with contemporary design audacity.

Located in a classic Parisian building, the six-room apartment presented Uchronia with the opportunity to create something extraordinary. Rather than playing it safe with neutral palettes, the design studio embraced bold colours as the driving force behind the transformation, creating distinct personalities for each space while maintaining cohesive flow throughout.

The journey begins with a marigold-hued kitchen that transitions dramatically into an emerald-green primary bathroom—an unexpected pairing that somehow feels perfectly natural. This fearless approach to colour continues throughout, with each room claiming its own vibrant identity. The dining room channels Versailles with a monumental custom table designed to seat 20 guests, framed by hand-crafted silk bows that add theatrical flair to the towering windows.

Perhaps the most striking space is the library, where a custom pink ceiling creates an intimate cocoon effect, complemented by Verner Panton’s velvet modular sofa and a specially commissioned wavy Murano glass chandelier by Christian Pellizzari in pink and red tones. The contrast between the warm timber built-in shelving and the soft pink envelope creates an unexpectedly sophisticated reading environment.

The primary bedroom embraces rich chocolate lacquer walls, illuminated by a golden resin “Seaweed” ceiling fixture from Univers Uchronia. Meanwhile, the dressing room explodes in bright orange, featuring custom storage solutions and playful curved elements that reflect Mizrahi’s fashion sensibilities.

What elevates this project beyond mere decoration is Uchronia’s commitment to craftsmanship. Traditional mouldings were meticulously restored and enhanced, parquet flooring was reimagined in custom patterns, and mirrors were designed specifically to capture and reflect light across each room. Every element—from silver-leaf “Fleur” side tables to bespoke flatware for entertaining—was created exclusively for this apartment.

The collaboration between client and studio resulted in an immersive experience that reflects both Mizrahi’s bold aesthetic and Uchronia’s radical imagination. Each space tells a story whilst contributing to a larger narrative about what happens when classic French architecture meets contemporary creative vision.

This transformation demonstrates how colour, when applied with confidence and skill, can breathe new life into historical spaces without compromising their inherent character. It’s a masterclass in balancing respect for architectural heritage with the demands of modern living and personal expression.
