Concept
This interior project is a layered tribute to the Kazakh identity. While it honors the Alash-Orda movement — a historical opposition to Soviet repression — it also weaves in the spirit of Kazakh nomadism, the strength of our batyrs (warriors), and the quiet dignity of traditional everyday life.
Through textures, forms, and spatial rhythm, the design merges three powerful narratives: intellectual resistance, nomadic freedom, and the soulful simplicity of Kazakh domestic culture.
Design Philosophy
The design does not merely reflect a political memory — it embodies a cultural code. The rugs recall the mobility of the yurt. The arched frames echo the tension between structure and freedom. The materials — wood, velvet, and metal — reference both elegance and survival.
This is a space for storytelling, where every detail speaks of the Kazakh journey: from steppe to statehood, from family to freedom.
This project is like a doorway to a bygone nomadic culture...
Initially, the room was an open space (free layout). The task was to divide this space into zones for a common room and a kitchen compartment with production and administrative rooms.
Developed floor plan with clearly articulated zones and well-distributed seating areas.
Tables set with care. Velvet seats and crystal chandeliers mirror the quiet grandeur of a lost era
