The Union Fortress 10
A national event celebrating 10 years of mandatory service in the UAE, I had the privilege of directing this project, and every detail, from camera placements and shot planning to working with the team under tight schedules, was a process I truly enjoyed.
It was one of those projects where passion met purpose.
My role as director started long before the event day. I worked on aligning creative direction with logistical realities, mapping camera locations, coordinating movement paths, and ensuring every key moment had visual coverage without missing the emotion.
This event wouldn’t have come to life without the collaborative spirit of the production team. We spent days working closely, Videographers, Photographers, Editors, assistants, and event coordinators, discussing expectations, timelines, and backup plans.
We had a complex camera setup to cover wide action, emotional close-ups, and crowd reactions, all without interrupting the natural flow of the event. Balancing cinematic quality with documentary agility was one of my key goals.
The energy on the ground was intense. Timing was everything، Military sequences, crowd engagement, and light cues were all perfectly synced, and I was on comms with every camera to keep things tight and flowing.
The success of The Union Fortress 10 was only possible because of the team's alignment. From production heads to camera operators and assistants, everyone understood the mission and worked together like a single unit.
What made this project truly special wasn’t just the scale — it was the constant flow of communication. We listened, adapted, and supported each other in real time. That synergy is what turned a complex production into a seamless experience.
