PLAT ASIA获委托在草原火山设计天火台艺术装置。项目选址于锡林浩特白银库伦草原火山东南的海拔高点——毛登敖包山顶，向东可瞭望大兴安岭南缘和燕山北缘交汇在地平线上的群山，和近处的达里诺尔湖；向南是湿地、湖泊和横亘的浑善达克沙地；北侧和东侧则是火山熔岩台地上的白银库伦草原火山群脉。无垠辽阔的天地间，稀有又类型多样的广袤自然地景中，装置如何对话原始的自然是重要的命题。设计通过日出日落、草原文化、火山火焰三种最本源的主题相交织，建立艺术装置与自然、人互动的方法和体验。

PLAT ASIA is designated to design a Flame Art Installation in the Steppe & Volcano area. This project is situated in the MaoDeng ovoo (a landmark at the mountain top in the Mongolian culture), which is a high point in the southeast area of Baiyinkulun Steppe & Volcano. The east view is an intersection between the southern end of the Greater Khingan Range and the northern end of the Yanshan Mountain, with Dali Lake nearby. The wetland, lake, and Otindag Sandy Land stretch to the south. The west and north views feature the Steppe & Volcano at the Lava Platform. Among the boundless and grand land beneath the sky, surrounded by precious and diverse geological types, the installation dialogue with the wild nature became a critical subject. The design idea seamlessly blends the sunrise and sunset, steppe culture, and the flame of the volcano into the natural elements of the installation, thereby bridging its connection with nature and humans through various approaches and experiences.

拂晓的第一缕阳光

The First Sunlight at Dawn

天火台旨在创造与自然的对话，在区域的东极，日出成为环境中的第一个对语者。设计选择7月初清晨太阳升起至湖面的方位角作为装置点位的依据，装置立面径向垂直于65°的太阳方位角，创造湖上日出正向穿越装置圆心的角度。11月中旬，落日的余晖则可直穿装置隐没入草原的地平线。和时间互动的场景将伴随着清晨的潮尔道和黄昏的长调在仪式性的活动中共同颂扬自然。

The flame art installation of the volcano built a relationship with the surrounding nature. At the east of the zone, sunrise is the first dialogue in the environment. Based on the solar azimuth angle in the morning in early July, when the sun rises exactly over the lake, the installation elevation axis is at a right angle to the azimuth angle – 65 degrees, forming a direct sunlight line that crosses through the center of the installation. In mid-November, the sunset light shines through the installation at a right angle and disappears on the horizon of the steppe. The scene varied with time, and they would sing the praises of nature with the Choor Song at sunrise and the Mongolian Long Tune at sunset for any celebrated activities.

原生态的草原文化

The Primitive Steppe Culture

艺术装置的形态呈放射状，灵感源自蒙古包屋顶的圆形构件套瑙和散射的乌尼杆；飘逸动态的外轮廓则取自草原博克手的至高荣誉——迎风飞扬的将嘎。装置由重达30吨的花岗岩构成环状景框，不规则四边形石块经数次长度调整推敲而成，通过两两铆接的方式强化其伫立火山顶的力量感和稳定性。左下角的孔洞强调整个装置的结构张力。底部石块则根据构型斜撑卸力，放射的形态形成从火山生长而出向上的趋势。

The installation features a radiating formation within a circular landscape frame, inspired by the toono, the roof crown elements of a Mongolian Ger, and the radial uyk, which is the roof frame of a Ger. The dynamic outline derived from the Jiangga symbolized the highest honor for the Boke wrestler in the steppe. This 30-ton installation, composed of granite, serves as a frame for the vista. The irregular square stones were modified and resized multiple times to achieve a harmonious appearance. Each of the two stones is an anchor for strengthening itself and stabilization compared to the volcano. A hole at the lower left corner presents the tension of the structure. The bottom stone bears the weight of the installation—the random edge and trend of installation hints at an upward growth from the volcano.

大地上的温柔火山

The Mild Volcano upon the Land

装置所在的白银库伦草原火山被称之为“世界上最温柔的火山”，因其在百万年的地质演变中遇到草原的裹覆而一改火山在人们心中的可怖形象。水草丰茂的温柔火山群孕育着独特的火山生态。装置则寄望赋予草原火山的温柔以力量感，通过巨大尺度坚韧岩石塑造的大地雕塑为这片草原火山温柔的存在而呐喊。

The location of installation – Baiyinkulun Steppe & Volcano – is named after the gentlest volcano in the world. It transforms the previously horrible figure into a gentle profile because the steppe meets and covers the volcano during the geological evolution that occurred over a million years. The luxuriant grassland and volcanic greenery nourish the special volcanic ecosystem. The installation aims to highlight the spirit of the steppe & volcano, at a vast scale and with hard rock, it shapes the sculpture upon the land, it shouts out for the existence of the silent steppe & volcano.

火山天火台艺术装置以锡林郭勒草原的地标为目标。当火焰随着日出越过群山在湖面上释放光芒与力量，驻留过的无数刹那因万物存在而生动。

The Flame Art Installation of Volcano seeks to be a landmark of the Xilingol Steppe. As the flame lights up and follows the sunrise through the mountains and the lake, numerous moments become meaningful due to the presence of life.
