HOSPITAL ANTROPOS
A university project developed jointly by pairs, lasting four months of hard work, involved the design of a departmental-class hospital with a capacity of 300 stretchers and all types of areas: emergency, inpatient, diagnostic support, diagnosis and treatment, all types of inpatient, and general services, including a separate building for outpatient physiotherapy.
The project also includes the incorporation of green spaces both inside and outside the buildings, creating areas of comfort that improve the user experience and the work environment for medical staff. These green areas not only provide significant aesthetic value but also play a crucial role in promoting health and overall well-being.
Among the challenges is the urban context, as the site is located across from one of the busiest markets in the country. In addition, we must create a master plan that would provide a solution to this problem and, in turn, provide us with a solution to the accessibility issue for the entire project.
The design of this hospital focuses on improving the functionality and efficiency of horizontal circulations, at the same time, it also tries to balance the ornamental character, we were directly inspired by a common block and it was deconfigured according to blocks of the famous Tetris game to organize the volume of the main building, so that they complement each other, thus reflecting the HARMONY AND COMPLETEMENTARITY PRESENT IN ANATOMY, where each element (in this case each area) contributes to the functioning of the human body (the hospital as such).

Perspectives of the interior:operating room and outpatient clinic.
For the interior design, inspiration was taken from an oriental aesthetic that seeks harmony and serenity of spaces, in addition to taking care of the functionality of circulations.
Circulation
The goal was for patients and medical staff to enjoy relaxing, natural views from most locations within the hospital, which would also indirectly contribute to patient well-being.
Parking and physiotherapy building
The Anthropos Departmental Hospital incorporates eco-conscious materials and sustainable construction systems that enhance both functionality and environmental responsibility. The project features EQUITONE® fiber cement panels, known for their durability and low environmental impact, as well as sealed metal cassettes that allow for efficient thermal insulation. Structural components include reinforced concrete and seismic isolators to ensure long-term resilience. The use of galvanized steel louvers combined with natural-finish wood panels promotes passive ventilation and minimizes energy consumption. These choices reflect a commitment to green architecture, blending aesthetics with sustainable innovation.
