Smart Dialysis Chair (Cura)

Cura is the first dialysis chair designed to actively address the side effects patients experience during and after treatment sessions:

1) Severe drop in blood pressure → solved with a Trendelenburg tilt system that helps blood flow from the lower body to the upper body.

2) Muscle cramps → a three-level massage system was integrated to reduce spasms and improve muscle flexibility.

3) Dizziness and nausea at the end of sessions → addressed with a ventilation system focused on the scalp for better comfort.

4) Post-session fatigue → the chair transforms into a bed position for patient rest

The design also considers elderly and disabled patients by allowing the chair to lower for easy access and rise to assist medical staff.Additionally, a movable footrest was provided to adjust according to patient height, reducing bone stress and improving overall comfort.
