Women’s fashion brand YOU WANNA resonates well with a young on-trend demographic, and already operates six standalone stores across Moscow. However, the brand, founded in 2008 by siblings Yulia Yeliseyeva and Nigina Bernshtam, continues to see room for growth, adding a seventh outpost in the city. Situated on the premises of Tsvetnoy, one of the city’s leading department stores, the YOU WANNA shop-in-shop occupies a 58 sqm. (624 sq.ft.) unit on the fourth floor and features an interior design by local architecture practice Sinitsa Buro. The circular setting revolves around a comfy seating area at its core, comprising a semi-circular sofa crafted from lacquered timber and velvet upholstering, surrounded by columns clad in matching fabric which integrate garment display rails. A custom-designed bar structure, made of veneered MDF and brushed steel, demarcates the shop-in-shop’s outer ring while also serving as a focal point and adds a social, experiential element to the shopping experience. Despite constraints, the YOU WANNA shop-in-shop achieves a distinctive aesthetic which sets it apart from its surroundings. © superfuture
