LAKE RIPPLE咖啡及艺术空间丨中国深圳丨Atelier 2M2

LAKE RIPPLE是位于深圳嘉里建设广场的咖啡、文化与艺术空间，该空间由Atelier 2M2设计。LAKE RIPPLE地处商务大厦与购物中心的交界处。其选址位于二楼，承接该大厦以高级律师、金融精英主导的垂直客群，同时吸引周边商业网络中的横向客流。

LAKE RIPPLE is a coffee, culture, and art space located at Shenzhen Kerry Plaza, designed by Atelier 2M2. LAKE RIPPLE is located at the intersection of business towers and shopping parks. Positioned on the second floor, it caters to the building’s vertical customer base of high-end lawyers and financial elites, while also attracting horizontal traffic from the surrounding commercial network.

该空间旨在创建归属地，而不是商业客厅。LAKE RIPPLE融合了咖啡体验、沙龙活动、艺术画廊等混合用途，它是后精品咖啡运动 (Post-Specialty Coffee Movement) 的一环，致力将咖啡品味从消费主义提升到主体地位。

This space aims to create a sense of belonging rather than a commercial lounge. LAKE RIPPLE combines coffee experiences, salon events, art galleries, and other mixed uses. It is part of the Post-Specialty Coffee Movement, which strives to elevate coffee tasting from consumerism to the subject position.

空间理念基于“柏拉图洞喻 (Plato’s cave allegory)”。如寓言所诉，寻求理性是逃离昏暗的感官牢笼、打破洞穴囚禁的终极途径。这一理念通过混凝土立面、锈蚀钢板、铝制家具来表达，内置元素遵循精确的几何逻辑，并且明确去装饰。

The spatial concept is based on Plato’s cave allegory. As the allegory suggests, the pursuit of reason is the ultimate way to escape the dark prison of the senses and break free from the confines of the cave. This concept is expressed through concrete facades, rusted steel plates, and aluminum furniture, with built-in elements follow precise geometric logic and are deliberately unadorned.

“穴居”是一种原始的建筑形式，尽管在隐喻中消极，却在起源上为原始居民提供了重要的精神庇护。LAKE RIPPLE项目并不以洞穴为原型，然而，它们在策略上重合——在中空空间的民主中创造了功能自主。

“Cave dwellings” are a primitive form of architecture. Although they have negative connotations in metaphorical terms, they provided important spiritual shelter for primitive inhabitants in their origins. The LAKE RIPPLE project is not modeled after caves, but they share a common strategy—creating functional autonomy within the democratic nature of the central space.

为了创建内循环，空间采用开放式布局，以混凝土墙面和连续玻璃取代封闭的初始构图。它带来视觉上的广延，并且允许自由灵活地布置内部。可伸缩的黑色隔断可实现二元分割，它们分别连接前后两个出入口，为同时需要前厅与包间的特定情况准备。

To create an internal circulation, the space adopts an open layout, replacing the initial closed composition with concrete walls and continuous glass. This creates a sense of visual expansiveness and allows for flexible internal layout. Retractable black partition can divide the space into two parts, connecting the front and rear entrances, suitable for situations where both a hall and a private room are needed at the same time.

黑色钢板创建出一条纪念性通道，它连通大厦和空间内部，作为场地出入口。除了视觉冲击力外，大钢板显著的物理品质带来某种精神暗示。它营造出独特的“通过仪式 ( Rites of Passage)”，随着通过者变化的行为路径，唤起丰富的感知和心理反应。

Black steel plates create a monumental passageway connecting the building and the interior space. In addition to its visual impact, the striking physical qualities of the large steel plates evoke a certain spiritual connotation. They establish a unique “rite of passage,” where the changing behavioral paths of those passing through elicit rich sensory and psychological responses.

混凝土墙面突显了空间体量和容度，赋予其朴实的基调。相比之下，铝制家具和镜面元素则引入了一个独特的概念单元，体现该项目更抽象、更具雕塑感的意图。家具的设计充分考虑了灵活性，其模块化结构不仅允许自由组合，还支持重复拆装。单体作为餐桌使用，组合即可成为大长桌或展台。

Concrete walls emphasize the spatial volume and capacity, imparting a humble tone. In contrast, aluminum furniture and mirrored elements introduce a unique conceptual unit, reflecting the project’s more abstract and sculptural intent.The furniture design prioritizes flexibility, with its modular structure enabling free combination and repeated disassembly. A single unit can function as a dining table, while combinations can form a long table or display platform.

外入口处，悬浮楼梯连接预先存在的场地高差。从走廊上看，LAKE RIPPLE 像是为沉思搭建的舞台。在结构柱和原有的建筑外墙间，存在一个9°的内角。在它的延长线上，一道新增的玻璃内墙，既改变了原先的不规则户型，同时创建出一条缓冲通道和一个狭长区域，这一区域被设计成一个三角画廊，以展示艺术作品。

At the exterior entrance, a suspended staircase connects to the existing site elevation. From the corridor, LAKE RIPPLE appears as a stage designed for contemplation.

“该构想是对博堡效应 (Beaubourg effect) 的反思”，Atelier 2M2的负责人补充道，“远离拟像陷阱……LAKE RIPPLE是一座恢复性的洞穴，旨在洞见。”它对人造物和过度精致保持距离，与周围的商业建筑群形成相反语境。日常权威在此失效，LAKE RIPPLE 鼓励参与者回归不可见的精神现实和内在景观。

“This concept reflects on the Beaubourg effect,” added the director of Atelier 2M2, “moving away from the trap of simulacra… LAKE RIPPLE is a restorative cave aimed at insight.” It maintains a distance from artificiality and excessive refinement, creating a contrasting context with the surrounding commercial buildings. Everyday authority is rendered ineffective here; LAKE RIPPLE encourages participants to return to the invisible spiritual reality and inner landscape.
