“海棠解忧铺”是一个由街头闲置空地改造而成的社区公共空间项目。场地原为一片杂草丛生的空地，环境杂乱，甚至常被人随意当作如厕之处，长期影响周边街区环境品质。通过本次改造，这片角落被重新激活，转变为服务周边居民、学校师生与“两新人员”的街头休憩与交流空间。

Jieyou Hut is a community public space project transformed from an idle street corner plot. The site was once an overgrown and neglected area, often misused as an informal toilet, which had long compromised the quality of the neighborhood environment. Through this renovation, the corner has been revitalized into a street-side retreat and gathering space that serves surrounding residents, nearby schools, and the local “Two New” population.

整体建筑由四座木屋组成，以钢结构立柱为基础，外覆海洋板，顶部采用聚碳酸酯板作为新型材料。该材料兼具透光性与硬度，使建筑既轻盈通透，又具备耐久性。四座木屋功能各异，通过围合与留白形成一个开放的中庭，串联起多元的社区生活场景。

The project consists of four small wooden houses, each supported by steel columns, clad in marine board, and topped with polycarbonate sheets. This new material provides excellent light transmittance and durability, giving the architecture both a sense of lightness and resilience. The four houses are arranged with varying functions, forming an open courtyard at the center that connects diverse community activities.

中庭空间是一个无墙体的“亭”，设有四处户外座椅，成为居民休憩、交流及举办多样社区活动的核心场所。另一处以聚碳酸酯板围合的木屋被设计为阶梯式活动空间，可灵活配置为公益理发点、照片展示墙、报刊架等，满足不同活动需求。另一间无墙体的木屋则安置了秋千，成为街头最具活力的休闲角落。靠近沙坑的木屋内部布置了无人自助售货机和公益取水点，为社区居民提供便利的日常补给。

The central courtyard is designed as a roofed but wall-free “pavilion,” with four sets of outdoor seating that provide a core place for resting, social interaction, and community events. Another wooden house, enclosed with translucent polycarbonate panels, serves as a stepped activity space. It can be flexibly adapted for community needs such as free haircuts, photo walls, or newspaper stands. A second wall-free structure houses outdoor swings, offering a lively corner for leisure. The hut closest to the sandbox accommodates a vending machine and a free public water dispenser, providing practical daily services for local users.

场地一侧的沙坑中布置了多种儿童娱乐设施，包括滑梯、摇摇椅与攀爬架，为孩子们营造了安全而开放的游乐天地。整体铺装上，场地地面以瓜子片铺设，建筑单体周边则结合体量形态延展出硬质化水泥地面，使空间在材质上富于层次感，同时保证了耐用性。

The adjacent sandbox is equipped with various children’s play facilities, including slides, rocking chairs, and climbing frames, creating a safe and open play environment. For ground treatment, the main circulation areas are paved with gravel terrazzo, while the building footprints extend outward with cement hardscape, ensuring both durability and visual coherence.

“海棠解忧铺”通过极具亲和力的尺度与材料，回应了社区居民的日常需求。它不仅改善了街角环境，更以轻巧而温润的姿态成为居民生活的一部分。项目试图证明，即使是城市中最不起眼的角落，也可以通过设计的介入焕发出新的活力，成为承载公共记忆与温情交流的“城市客厅”。

By employing approachable materials and community-friendly scale, Jieyou Hut responds directly to the everyday needs of residents. It not only improves the environmental quality of the street corner, but also integrates into daily life as a warm and inviting part of the community. The project demonstrates that even the most overlooked urban voids can, through thoughtful design, be reborn as spaces of vitality, memory, and shared urban life — a true “living room” of the city.
