The landscape intervention around Can Farrés stems from a profound respect for the site, its unique geology, and its deep cultural roots. Located in El Bruc, in the heart of the Montserrat Natural Park near Barcelona, the project transforms the outdoor spaces of a 15th-century farmhouse—now converted into a hotel—with the aim of establishing a sensitive dialogue between architecture, nature, and tradition.

Can Farrés坐落在蒙特塞拉特山脚下，这片景观兼具地质与文化的象征意义。scob的设计方案顺应这一独特环境，营造一种并非凸显自身，而是融入环境的景观体验。本地材料、简洁几何和克制的元素组合，使建筑能够融入景观之中，从而凸显场地的特质。

Can Farrés sits at the foot of Montserrat, a landscape that is both geologically and culturally symbolic. scob’s proposal embraces this unique setting to create a landscape experience that doesn’t seek to stand out, but rather to blend in. Local materials, simple geometries, and a restrained palette of elements allow the architecture to dissolve into the landscape and elevate the character of the site.

蒙特塞拉特的砾岩——其地质骨架——被用来塑造道路、平台与挡土墙；本地手工烧制的陶砖则建立起过去与当下的连接；轻盈的钢制棚架则唤起了该地区普遍存在的传统农业结构。

Conglomerate rock—the geological backbone of Montserrat—is used to shape paths, platforms, and retaining walls. Handcrafted ceramic bricks from the local area draw connections between past and present. Light steel trellises recall the traditional agricultural structures found throughout the region.

将共情作为设计方法

Empathy as a design method

scob通过对场地的共情来展开设计：不是强加，而是解读。此次介入不是一组孤立的物件，而是一个能解读地形、光线和使用节奏的系统，从而生成尊重且富有情感共鸣的关系。在这一过程中，它重建了一种古老的联盟：建筑与景观之间作为共享栖居密码的纽带。恢复建筑与景观之间的联系。

scob works through empathy with place: it doesn’t impose, it interprets. The intervention is not a collection of objects, but a system that reads the topography, light, and rhythms of use to generate respectful, emotionally resonant relationships. In doing so, it restores an old alliance: that between architecture and landscape as a shared code for inhabiting. Restoring the link between architecture and landscape.

一座扎根于地方精神的酒店

A hotel rooted in the spirit of place

通过这次介入，Can Farrés如今以一种具有鲜明地方身份与内省氛围的酒店呈现，向宾客提供与山体及其精神象征紧密相连的深度体验。露台、小径、聚会场所和休憩空间，使访客能够在材质、记忆与地平线之间，以宁静的心态探索周边环境。

Thanks to this intervention, Can Farrés now presents itself as a hotel with strong local identity and introspective atmosphere, offering guests a deeply grounded experience tied to the mountain and its spiritual symbolism. The terraces, footpaths, gathering spaces, and rest areas allow visitors to explore the surroundings with serenity—among materials, memory, and horizon.
