The jewelry brand Simuero presents Casa Simuero, its new workshop and studio in Valencia, designed in collaboration with Form Estudio. Located in a protected two- story residence, the project brings together workshop, offices, and showroom in a space that embodies craftsmanship, memory, and the brand’s core values.

Founded by Rocío Gallardo and Jorge Ros, Simuero is renowned for its handcrafted jewelry that celebrates imperfection and organic form. With Casa Simuero, set in the historic neighborhood of Patraix, the brand has created a 230 m2 space that reflects this philosophy. Designed by Form Estudio, the project pays tribute to the handmade, the authentic, and the timeless.

过去与现在的对话

A dialogue between past and present

这次翻新的一个标志性特征是对原有棋盘格水泥瓷砖的重新诠释，原本这些瓷砖覆盖了房屋的地板。尽管原始瓷砖无法保存，但引入了带有相同图案的新瓷砖，使得原有房屋的记忆在当代设计中得以延续。

A defining feature of the renovation is the reinterpretation of the original checkerboard hydraulic tiles that once covered the floors of the house. While the originals could not be preserved, new tiles with the same motif were introduced, keeping the memory of the pre-existing home alive within a contemporary design.

设计围绕着一个中央庭院展开，庭院将自然光引入室内，并强化了与户外的连接。地面层包括工作坊、厨房和仅限预约的展厅，而上层则专门用于办公室和会议室。

The layout revolves around a central patio that fills the interiors with natural light and reinforces the connection to the outdoors. On the ground floor, the workshop, kitchen, and appointment-only showroom coexist, while the upper level is dedicated to offices and meeting rooms.

材料性是该项目的核心：温暖的木材、赤土地板、坚固的钢材和基于石灰的涂料相结合，营造出一种触感丰富、扎实的氛围，突出品牌的手工精神。

Materiality is central to the project: warm woods, terracotta flooring, robust steel, and lime-based paints combine to create a tactile, grounded atmosphere that underscores the handcrafted spirit of the brand.

手工合作网络

A network of artisan collaborations

合作是该项目身份的关键。室内木工由品牌OVEN完成，OVEN设计并手工制作家具、物件和空间。他们贡献了主系列中的灯具和桌子，并开发了定制的元素，包括实心的伊洛科木厨房、门、工作台和已成为空间标志的粉色展厅桌子。所有这些都是手工制作，注重细节。工匠Pablo Bolumar设计了入口处的蜜蜡吊灯，而Estudio Vernís则创造了星形灯和定制洗手盆。

Collaboration has been key to the project’s identity. The interior carpentry was carried out by OVEN, a brand that designs and handcrafts furniture, objects, and spaces. They contributed pieces from their main collection, such as lamps and tables, and developed bespoke elements including the solid iroko kitchen, the doors, the worktables, and the pink showroom table that has become a signature piece of the space. All were made by hand with meticulous attention to detail. Artisan Pablo Bolumar designed the beeswax chandelier at the entrance, while Estudio Vernís created both the star-shaped lamp and the bespoke washbasins.

丹麦设计品牌FRAMA贡献了家具和金属元素——椅子、壁灯和不锈钢柜，带来了现代感，与手工艺作品相得益彰。这些合作共同为项目增添了深度和真实性，放大了定义Simuero的精神。

Danish design brand FRAMA contributed furniture and metal elements—chairs, wall lights, and a stainless-steel cabinet—bringing a contemporary layer that complements the artisanal work. Together, these collaborations add depth and authenticity, amplifying the spirit that defines Simuero.
