The House of Dior, the flagship store of the iconic fashion house which opened in New York CIty last August, has now gained an equivalent on the U.S. West Coast. The fashion house, now led by hailed creative director Jonathan Anderson, has combined its previously separate women’s and men’s boutiques on Rodeo Drive, accommodating the two in one new location on the same gilded shopping artery. An expansive, slightly undulating façade with two entrances and a large open patio – mind you, it reveals a three-storey garden by renowned landscape architect Peter Wirtz – marks its presence on the most prestigious retail address in Los Angeles. Similar to the House of Dior in the Big Apple, the premises here have been designed by acclaimed architect and longtime collaborator Peter Marino. Occupying no less than four floors of a newly built structure, the store features a seemingly endless range of elegant settings with custom-made furnishings and fixtures, each specifically designed to present a different segment.

The flagship store offers the full range of merchandise, from womenswear, menswear, accessories, bags and jewellery, to the Dior Maison collection, fragrances, and last but not least, a section for a selection of limited-edition trophy pieces made exclusively for the store. Elevating the shopping experience is a series of tightly curated art pieces by leading artists which can be found throughout the store, including artworks by Karine Laval, Adam McEwen, and Nancy Lorenz. For the most discerning of shoppers, V.I.P. lounges and a private terrace are readily available. Needless to say, the new House of Dior isn’t meant to be just a place where to shop for Anderson’s coveted women’s and men’s designs, it’s a cultural destination where to indulge in the good life. As such, the House of Dior features the soon-to-open Monsieur Dior, a restaurant helmed by Dominique Crenn. The celebrated chef is the only one Stateside having garnered three Michelin stars, offering a culinary experience that seamlessly unites fashion, creativity, and yes, excellent cuisine. © superfuture
