Scope of Work|Conceptual interior & furniture design inspired by art movements, merging fine arts and applied arts.

"A Tale of Art – The Fourth Scene."

"This opening image is not a decorative piece, but a manifesto of the project’s soul. It merges the memory of Khedivial Cairo - Al-Ataba Square and the traces of the Grand Continental Hotel - with the language of art.

Historical photography dissolves into surreal fragments, where Van Gogh’s celestial rhythms and Dalí’s fluid time whisper into the city’s atmosphere, while Whistler’s nocturnal tones soften its edges.

القاهرة هنا ليست مجرد مدينة، بل ذاكرة حيّة تتنفس داخل العمل الفني.ميدان العتبة يعود للحياة، بشوارعه المزدحمة وأصواته القديمة، لكنه ممزوج بحلم وفلسفة الفن، كأنه بين الحقيقة والخيال.

Why the Fourth Scene?

About the Title (The Fourth Scene) "The project is titled ‘A Tale of Art – The Fourth Scene.’ The choice is intentional: the first three scenes belong to the traditional role of art — to be seen, admired, and framed. The Fourth Scene is where the boundary breaks.

هنا يتوقف المشاهد عن كونه متفرجًا، ويصبح جزءًا من الحكاية.

It is also a tribute to the Grand Continental Hotel: once a cultural landmark of Cairo, now reimagined as a stage where every suite transforms into a scene drawn from a masterpiece.

المشهد الرابع إذن هو العبور، هو الرحلة من الإطار إلى الحياة.هو كسر الحاجز… لحظة يتحول فيها المتفرج إلى جزء من اللوحة، وجزء من الحكاية….

"First Script – From Scene Four"

From this vision, the story unfolds into its first script. We begin with the Fourth Scene - the first room, yet the symbolic starting point of the entire journey.

هنا نبدأ أول مشهد ملموس… غرفة وُلدت من لوحة.

The Fourth Scene is not just a design - it is the translation of Whistler’s nocturnal philosophy into a living, breathing space.

Inspiration – Whistler’s “Nocturne: Blue and Silver”

Here, we begin our first script from Scene Four, where the journey unfolds through the room of ’Nocturne’.

عندما نتأمل لوحة Whistler’s “Nocturne: Blue and Silver” نشعر وكأننا لا ننظر إلى سطح مرسوم، بل نصغي إلى سيمفونية صامتة. إنها ليست مجرد تصوير لمشهد ليلي، بل هي محاولة لتحويل اللون إلى نغمة، والضوء إلى إيقاع.

لمشهد في الأصل كان التايمز، لكن ويسلر لم يرد أن يرسم النهر أو الجسر… أراد أن يرسم ما وراءهما: إحساس الليل نفسه، موسيقى الصمت، انعكاس الروح.

لا نجد تفاصيل معمارية واضحة ولا ملامح صارمة؛ بل مشهداً ضبابياً عائماً فوق نهر التايمز، كأن المدينة ذابت في الحلم.

The canvas becomes a piece of music - silent yet resonant.

فلسفة ويسلر كانت تقوم على ما يُعرف بـ “art for art’s sake” – الفن للفن ذاته – حيث لا تُحمَّل اللوحة بمعانٍ مباشرة أو رموز تقليدية، بل تُترك لتخاطب الحواس.

التقنية التي اعتمدها هنا هي المونوكروم (monochrome)، إذ جعل الأزرق بتدرجاته هو البطل الرئيس، بينما الفضي يؤدي دور الإيقاع المتكرر، كما يفعل مؤلف موسيقي يبني معزوفة كاملة من نغمة واحدة تتردد باختلافات خفية.

اعتمد ويسلر على ضربات فرشاة خفيفة وسريعة، تكاد تكون لمسات على سطح ماء. لا خطوط حادة، بل أشكال تتلاشى في الجو.

Reflection as a Philosophy

Whistler’s nocturnes are about echoes, not details. Lights blur into water, the world dissolves into tone. The painting becomes a metaphor: life itself is reflection.

"الانعكاس عند ويسلر لم يكن خدعة بصرية… بل رسالة: أن كل ما نراه في الدنيا ليس إلا صدى لما هو أعمق."

Why “Nocturne”?

The Nocturne series itself is a declaration: painting as music.

كلمة Nocturne تنتمي في الأصل إلى عالم الموسيقى.. سماها نيوكتورن لأنه أراد أن يرسم الليل كما يُعزَف: الأزرق كالنغمة العميقة، الفضي كالبيانو الصامت، والفراغ كمساحة بين النوتات…

Nocturne Suite – Where Night Whispers

"The painting spills beyond its frame, unfolding the night into space."

"As Whistler painted the river, the bed now binds reflections and slumber."

"كما رسم ويسلر النهر، يربط السرير الآن بين الانعكاسات والنوم."

"Between each piece, the void hums a silent melody of night."

"بين كل قطعة، يهمس الفراغ بلحن صامت للّيل."

"Surfaces mirror the nocturnal symphony, turning the room into a silent canvas."

"الأسطح تعكس السمفونية الليلية، محوِّلة الغرفة إلى لوحة صامتة."

"Between velvet and glass, the room becomes a canvas of light and shadow."

"بين المخمل والزجاج، تتحول الغرفة إلى لوحة من الضوء والظل."

"Shadows and reflections entwine on the silver table, composing the silent music of the night."

"تتشابك الظلال والانعكاسات على الطاولة الفضية، مؤلفة الموسيقى الصامتة للّيل."

The console stands like a silent sentinel, reflecting the first whispers of night to those who enter.يقف الكونسول كحارس صامت، يعكس أول همسات الليل للزائرين عند دخولهم.

"Each hue on the mirror hums a whisper, carrying the room’s nocturnal melody."

"كل لون على المرآة يهمس، حاملاً لحن الغرفة الليلي."

"Even here, the nocturne lingers, reflected softly in the quiet space."

"حتى هنا، يبقى النوكتورون حاضرًا، منعكسًا برفق في الفراغ الهادئ."
