The CGFM project is located in São Paulo and has two constructions in an area of almost 600m². The main house of 470m² and an Edicule of 140m². The owners are a couple with a daughter, he’s Brazilian and she’s Argentinian. They bought the old house and in bad condition and chose the office Patricia Martinez Architecture to carry out the renovation. The main idea was to make better use of the land for leisure as it is a large but cozy land.
The reform made was very significant but very rational. There were no excesses in ornaments and the finishes chosen were consistent with the wishes and needs of the owners. Spaces have been redistributed so that even with the vast area, people actually use environments. The kitchen connected to barbecue is the heart of the house. A Parillera, Argentine grill is located there, it matches the nationality of the owner. This is the most used area of the house, which also connects to the garden and the dining room, it gives a feeling of use of all spaces and is practical for everyday life.
The pool of black pads arose from the need to heat the pool longer due to the little sun reflecting in the area. For the pool to have a better temperature it needs to have darker tones to keep the heat longer.
The materials include dark brown polyvinyl chloride window frames, wooden Cumaru flooring, Tresuno cement-lined walls in the dining room and toilet, the rest of the interior being all painted. The fireplace has freijó flooring and the block that divides the living room from the home theater becomes almost a closet that divides the two spaces, social and intimate. The decoration has Pampas references and textured cow leather armchairs.
