ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT OF APARTMENTS

IN SAUDI ARABIA, RIYADH

Introduction:

This project is an exploration of harmony. We focused on the simplicity of spaces, minimalism, and skillful play of light and shadow, creating modern living spaces where each line has its meaning. At every stage of the design, special attention was given to adapting to the arid climate.

Location:

The design site is located in the central part of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It is a small plot in the

center of a quarter with three-story buildings.

Climate:

A dry climate with high air temperatures, experiencing significant daily fluctuations,

and low atmospheric precipitation.

City:

We aimed to create a building that harmoniously integrates into the urban fabric, providing maximum

functionality for future residents.

Architecture and Facade Dynamics:

Architectural form is expressed in concise lines and the use of natural materials such as concrete elements. This not only gives the building structural strength but also expresses the minimalistic architecture's expressiveness. The building structure is not just a static combination of lines but also a play of light and shadow. Dynamic variations and the composition of concrete elements create an interesting visual perception, giving the building character and individuality. The facade consists of long vertical and horizontal elements, forming a concise composition. The absence of unnecessary decorative elements emphasizes the purity of lines and the simplicity of form. Each architectural detail carries meaning and function. Structural elements not only define the building's appearance but also serve as a means to regulate natural light and ventilation, providing a comfortable microclimate.

Landscaping:

Thanks to the rotation of the first floor, shady internal courtyards are formed - a place where modern landscaping elements merge with architecture. This unique space invites residents to relax and enjoy the natural atmosphere in the city. Facade concrete elements also continue inside, ensuring a unified style and smooth transition between the internal and external spaces. The minimalist landscape design includes low green vegetation and modern elements, emphasizing the purity of forms and the simplicity of the surrounding environment.
