解构和赞颂大同地域文脉
Deconstructing and celebrating the regional context of Datong
“抵达内心的边境”是既下山深入人心的品牌slogan。接手这个项目后我们一直在思考,既下山·大同这个项目的景观与既下山别的酒店需要什么样的突破和不同?什么样的景观才是独属于大同且又契合既下山酒店品牌的核心价值理念的?一个人内心的边境到底在哪里?又如何才能抵达我们内心?在既下山·大同这个项目里,我们需要以景观设计的语言去直面回答这些问题。我们认为:大同独特的城市基因蕴含着丰富的设计灵感。在它2300多年的层叠历史里,大同每一处文明遗迹甚至古城角落的每一片残砖断瓦都蕴含着设计可以提取和转译的丰富信息。
“Reaching the Borders of the Soul” is Jishan Down’s deeply resonant brand slogan. Since taking on this project, we’ve continually pondered: What breakthroughs and distinctions does the landscape of Jishan Down·Datong require compared to other Jishan Down hotels? What kind of landscape would be uniquely Datong while aligning with the core values of the Jishan Down brand? Where exactly lies the border within one’s soul? And how can we reach it? At Jixianshan·Datong, we must confront these questions directly through the language of landscape design. We believe Datong’s unique urban DNA holds abundant design inspiration. Within its 2,300-year layered history, every cultural relic—even the broken bricks and tiles scattered in the city’s ancient corners—contains rich information that design can extract and translate.

一个人最难抵达的内心边境,或许就是在对自然与历史人文艺术的探索过程中所能获得的,那种内心深层次的共鸣。基于以上的理解,我们确立了以“解构和赞颂大同地域文脉”作为景观设计主线,通过深入挖掘大同历史悠久的在地文化,加以景观化的转译、解构、重置,在酒店内外建立一个个丰富的景观叙事空间。希望客人从踏入酒店私域的一刻起,即是漫步于徐徐展开的大同历史画卷中,于宁静的空间里可以收获些许自然与人文的感动。

The innermost frontier of the human spirit may be reached only through profound resonance—that deep-seated connection forged in the exploration of nature, history, culture, and art. Guided by this insight, we established “deconstructing and celebrating Datong’s cultural heritage” as the core principle of our landscape design. By delving into Datong’s rich local history and translating, deconstructing, and reimagining it through landscape architecture, we created a series of narrative spaces both within and beyond the hotel. We envision guests, from the moment they step into the hotel’s private domain, strolling through a gradually unfolding historical panorama of Datong. Within these tranquil spaces, they may find moments of profound connection with nature and human culture.

以五个主题庭院回应历史
Responding to history through five themed courtyards
在GOA建筑规划设计奠定的空间基础上,我们以简约的景观设计语言,建立了“无相庭、镜净庭、塔影庭、千山庭、云舒庭”五个秩序严谨、层层递进的景观空间。
Building upon the spatial foundation established by GOA’s architectural planning and design, we employed a minimalist landscape design language to create five meticulously ordered, sequentially layered landscape spaces: the Formless Courtyard, the Mirror-Clear Courtyard, the Pagoda-Shadow Courtyard, the Thousand-Mountain Courtyard, and the Cloud-Unfolding Courtyard.

无相庭
The formless courtyard
无相庭抽象提取了代表和孕育平城文明发展的河流、武周山、云冈石窟,将它们逐一解构后以艺术馆的光塔为中心,借纤细缓慢流动的水景将它们有机串联,并赋予理性的景观秩序。无相庭空间的视觉主体是与建筑、光塔对应的超大尺度的倾斜石窟浮雕墙,长约20米,其清晰界定了庭院与酒店交通廊道两个空间,并赋予多维的空间指向。
The formless courtyard abstractly extracts the river, Mount Wuzhou, and the Yungang Grottoes—symbols that represent and nurture the development of Pingcheng’s civilization. After deconstructing each element, it organically interconnects them through delicate, slow-flowing water features centered around the art museum’s luminous tower, imparting a rational order to the landscape. The visual focal point of the Formless Courtyard is an oversized, slanted stone relief wall—approximately 20 meters long—that corresponds with the architecture and light tower. This wall clearly delineates the courtyard and the hotel’s circulation corridor, imparting multidimensional spatial orientation to both spaces.

浮雕墙材料选取与云冈石窟同样色彩、质感的山西砂岩老料石材,用数字化的云冈石窟佛像以三维雕刻结合人工雕琢而成。阳光下,光影在石窟残缺的佛造像上游走,和着微弱的水流声,其相因时而变,静中有动,整个庭院我们只种了一棵大树来代表顽强的生命,与光塔和石窟墙呼应,整个庭院充满了禅意和历史的沧桑。

The relief wall features aged Shanxi sandstone with the same color and texture as the Yungang Grottoes. It is crafted using a combination of three-dimensional carving based on digital models of Yungang Buddha statues and hand-carving techniques. Under the sunlight, light and shadow dance across the fragmented Buddha statues in the grotto, harmonizing with the faint murmur of flowing water. Their interplay shifts constantly, revealing movement within stillness. In the entire courtyard, we planted only one large tree to symbolize resilient life, echoing the light tower and grotto walls. The entire space brims with Zen-like tranquility and the weight of historical vicissitudes.

镜净庭
The Mirror Courtyard
镜净庭是酒店最主要的南北景观轴线。GOA建筑规划设计奠定的这个多重空间序列特别的精彩。因为它空间尺度不大,所以我们尝试以极简、最少的设计去进一步强化这个轴线空间的秩序。主体上我们设计了的一系列的镜面水池,借水面丰富的倒影来增加轴线空间的虚实关系。在轴线空间重要的节点仪式化设置了一些我们精心挑选的老建筑残存构件,为空间注入历史人文要素,赞颂和延续大同的城市文脉。我们希望以有限表达无限,以最精华的文化载体去展现历史文脉,以最少的自然去表达自然。
The Mirror Courtyard forms the hotel’s primary north-south landscape axis. The multi-layered spatial sequence established by GOA Architects’ master plan is particularly compelling. Given its modest scale, we sought to further enhance the axis’s spatial order through minimalist design interventions. We have designed a series of mirror-like pools to enhance the interplay of solid and void within the axial space through the rich reflections on the water surface. At key ceremonial points along the axis, we have thoughtfully placed carefully selected remnants of historic architecture. These elements infuse the space with historical and cultural significance, celebrating and perpetuating Datong’s urban heritage. We aspire to express the infinite through the finite, to showcase historical continuity through the most quintessential cultural vessels, and to convey nature through the most minimal use of natural elements.

行进于这个宁静的轴线空间,希望客人会有满满的人文感动,有如在厚重的历史中穿梭。设计希望客人踏入境净庭空间的第一刻起,即可强烈感受到空间秩序与宁静带来的心灵冲击。循着镜面池上建筑和云影天光的倒影,和着若隐若现的水声,徐徐步入轴线的尽端院子时,仰望水源处那棵轴线空间里唯一的一棵老元宝枫树,或许可以抵达某种内心的边境。

As guests traverse this tranquil axial space, we hope they will be deeply moved by its cultural resonance, as if journeying through the weight of history. The design aims to deliver a profound emotional impact from the moment guests step into the courtyard, immersing them in the space’s order and tranquility. Following the reflections of architecture and cloud-dappled sky on the mirror-like pond, accompanied by the faint murmur of water, one slowly advances to the end of the axis. There, gazing upward at the solitary ancient maple tree—the only one within this axial space—one may reach a certain inner frontier.

千山庭
Qianshan Courtyard
千山庭为地下室泳池与健身房之间的狭长庭院。设计取意《水经注》所描摹的武州山水——“山堂水殿,烟寺相望”,设计以抽象、解构的雕塑语言诗意的表达了武周山的山水禅意。方寸藏洞天,咫尺蕴千山。

Qianshan Courtyard is a narrow space between the basement pool and gym. Drawing inspiration from the landscape of Wuzhou described in the Commentary on the Waterways Classic—“mountain halls and water pavilions, misty temples in sight”—the design poetically expresses the Zen-like spirit of Wuzhou Mountain through abstract, deconstructed sculptural language. Within this compact space lies a hidden realm; within a few steps, a thousand mountains unfold.

Tower Shadow Courtyard
大同古城的城墙从北魏、辽金到明代历尽沧桑,我们解构的表现了大同古城墙的雄浑与厚重。

The ancient city walls of Datong have weathered the vicissitudes of time from the Northern Wei Dynasty through the Liao and Jin Dynasties to the Ming Dynasty. Our deconstructed design captures the majestic grandeur and profound weight of these historic ramparts.

云舒庭 Yunshuting
云舒庭为酒店东面正对城墙楼的云中茶室庭院。大同古有别称“云中”,我们含蓄的营造了一个可对坐古城楼,看云卷云舒的写意庭院。
Yunshuting is the courtyard of the Yunzhong Tea House, situated east of the hotel and facing the city wall tower. Da Tong was historically known as “Yunzhong” (Clouds in the Midst). We have subtly created a poetic courtyard where one can sit facing the ancient city tower, watching clouds gather and disperse.

时与空的交叠
Intersection of time and space
漫步于既下山酒店空间中,设计希望客人可以在时间与空间的双重穿越中,深度的感受物质性、时间性、艺术性,感悟存在与消亡,感受大同看得见与看不见的文明和沧桑。
Strolling through the spaces of the Jixianshan Hotel, the design invites guests to traverse both time and space, immersing themselves in the tangible, temporal, and artistic dimensions. Here, they contemplate existence and transience, experiencing Datong’s visible and invisible civilizations and the vicissitudes of time.

让树成为树
Let the tree be a tree
植物造景主要选取了元宝枫、杏树、丁香、山楂、国槐、油松为骨干树种,结合大同特有的小气候环境和建筑空间尺度采用适地适树、因地制宜、少即是多的设计原则。以有限表达无限,以最少的自然去表达自然。整个项目我们几乎没有配植地被,一棵树即代表自然、承载四季。试图让树去表现建筑,让树与建筑相依相拥、和谐共生。
The landscape design primarily features maple, apricot, lilac, hawthorn, Chinese scholar tree, and oil pine as key tree species. Tailored to Datong’s unique microclimate and architectural scale, the approach follows the principles of site-appropriate planting, adaptability to local conditions, and the philosophy that less is more. It expresses the infinite through the finite, conveying nature with minimal natural elements. Throughout the project, we have largely avoided groundcover plantings. Each tree stands as a symbol of nature, embodying the passage of seasons. We aim for the trees to express the architecture, creating a symbiotic relationship where trees and buildings intertwine and coexist in harmony.

客院
The private courtyard
既下山·大同每间客房皆拥有独立院落,设计以现代极简的设计手法在方寸之间配一树一石、一茶一座,营造或可观花赏果,或可借览古城的私享庭院。
Jidi Mountain · Datong Each guest room features a private courtyard, designed with modern minimalist aesthetics. Within this compact space, a tree, a stone, a tea set, and a bench are thoughtfully arranged to create a secluded garden where guests may admire flowers and fruits or enjoy views of the ancient city.
