Located in Deqing, Zhejiang, this new Xinhua Bookstore by THE TRIANGLE.JP redefines the role of a bookstore in contemporary urban life.

Moving beyond the traditional function of selling books, the space is conceived as an open platform that integrates reading, communication, and community activities.

With the concept “Beyond walls — the bookstore as the town’s living room,” the design extends the bookstore’s presence into the street and public realm, turning it into a shared space for everyday life, cultural connection, and community vitality.
