The Hotel Villa Soro is one of the recent projects of ESPACIO EN BLANCO, the interior studio led by Bárbara Aurell. Near the old town of San Sebastian we find this hotel considered Historical Heritage of San Sebastian for being an aristocratic village of the late nineteenth century subsequently restored. That’s why we find in it the perfect combination of a centennial space and a luxury hotel surrounded by a beautiful garden. In addition to its 25 rooms the hotel has a lounge, bistro and reading room -the three in one- that complete the stay of its guests with the personalized attention and privacy characteristic of a very singular place. The intervention of the interior designer has consisted of the hotel common areas rehabilitation enhancing its value and at the same time maintaining the spirit of the villa. “For me it makes sense to go back to my roots: we had to maintain the essence and the soul of a house with a lot of history,” says Barbara Aurell.

For this project, welcoming and pleasant, as well as useful, environments have been created. In addition, the interior designer has carried out a meticulous work of joinery and restoration of the original friezes to preserve its classic and singular aspect. The space has also been decorated with daring upholstery and contemporary fabrics, creating an innovative environment with great personality. A project designed with care so that guests feel at home.

The three zones are now comfortable and practical stays. A multi-purpose space where you can have breakfast in the morning, work during the day, have a tea in the afternoon and a drink in the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. A home, after all.
