“水滴住宅”位于四川成都，是一个200平方米的大平层精装改造项目，由一对海归夫妇委托SUUKO肃可设计进行改造。在日常的对话中SUUKO肃可感受到他们期待生活在一个相对沉稳、安静的居住环境，不需要太多装饰但尤为注重生活品质。

“Waterdrop Residence” is located in Chengdu, Sichuan. It’s a refined decoration and renovation project of penthouse covering 200 m2. An overseas couple asked SUUKO DESIGN to renovate it. In daily conversation, SUUKO DESIGN sensed that they expected to live in a relatively steady and quiet environment. They didn’t need too much decoration, but emphasized the quality of life.

“做个水滴装置吧，把灯光和吊顶消隐掉。”一次开玩笑似的聊天，最终成就了小水滴的诞生，成为这个家独特且唯一的标志。从此，这里不再仅仅是一个所处可见的标准“商品房”，而是专属于他们夫妇的新家。

“Make a waterdrop device to quench lights and suspended ceiling.” A joking talk finally gave birth to Water Droplet, the one and only symbol of the house. From now on, it’s no longer a standard “commercial house”, but a special new home for the couple。

整体空间由于原始墙暖系统的限制，天花吊顶，大的布局和墙体不能改动，所以我们化整为零，将可以统一的材质和颜色进行梳理合并。我们用理性梳理空间秩序，把控整体极简的设计语境，再根据具体的功能，使用差异化的设计语言赋予空间温度。

Due to the limitation of the original wall heating system in the overall space, suspended hangings on the ceiling, the overall layout and walls can’t be changed. We broke down the whole into parts, and sorted out and combined raw materials and colors that can be unified. We sorted out spatial order with reason, controlled the overall design context of minimalism, and then endowed space with warmth through differentiated design language.

悬浮玄关——调整玄关进深

不足而产生的压抑感。

Hanging Hallway——adjusting the suffocating feeling created by the insufficient depth of indoor hallway.

水滴天花——解决居住者对吊顶高度的需求，对应下方水吧台，创造微醺的灯光氛围。

Water drop ceiling——Meeting residents’ need for the height of suspended hanging, echoing the water bar counter below and creating a tipsy lighting.

黑白餐厨——平衡厨房的光环境体验，背光处白色，迎光处黑色。

Black-and-white Kitchen——Balancing the optical environment experience of the kitchen with whiteness in the backlight space and blackness in the space facing light.

开放书房——以隔而不断的方式，营造开放式的书房空间，保证功能又有一定的互动交流属性。

Open Study——Create an open study by isolating without breaking, so as to emulate the interactivity of space.

静谧卧室——简洁的设计手法，通过材质，照明，创造出舒适的私密空间。

Quiet Bedroom——Creating a cozy private space with simple design techniques, materials and lighting.

这是一种自下而上的设计方式，源于对“形式追随功能”这个古老宣言的反思。但这里的功能不再是狭义上的物理基础功能，还包含心理上的审美需求功能。

This is a method of design from bottom to the top, originating from reflection on the ancient manifesto that “Form follows function”. But the functions here are no longer basic physical functions in the narrow sense, but also include the psychological aesthetic needs.

在室内设计的领域中，住宅设计相较于其他空间设计而言更需要关注“人”，“居住者”本身的特征与需求，转而应当放弃自上而下的“风格设计”，以此建造与居住者自身情感相匹配的生活氛围，否则，装饰只是浮于表面的符号。

In the field of interior design, residential design focuses more on “human beings” and the features and needs of “dwellers” themselves”, compared with other kinds of spatial design, so as to build a living atmosphere matched with dwellers’ own emotions; otherwise, decoration is only a superficial symbol.
