The Philosophy of Residence

青山资本发布的2021年度消费报告显示：2021年，我国独居人口达到9200万。贝壳研究院的《新独居时代报告》预测，到2030年中国独居人口数量或将达到1.5-2亿人，其中20-39岁的独居青年或将从2010年的1800万增加到4000-7000万人。

The 2021 Annual Consumption Report released by Green Mountain Capital shows that the population of people living alone in China reaches 92 million in 2021. Shell Research Institute's New Living Alone Era Report predicts that the number of people living alone in China may reach 150-200 million by 2030, of which young people aged 20-39 living alone may increase from 18 million in 2010 to 40-70 million.

不被定义的自由

独居的吸引力，来自拥有独自生活的空间，更来自不被打扰的边界和权利，与此同时，与他人、与世界的连接也在重新定义。

如艾里克·克里南伯格《单身社会》所写：「独居生活的兴起本身也已成为一种具有革新力量的社会现象：它改变了人们对自身，以及人类最密切的关系的理解；它影响着城市的建造和经济的变革；它甚至改变了人们成长与成年的方式，也同样改变了人类老去甚至去世的方式。」

·FLOOR PLAN·

在为这位年轻的女业主设计她的个人居所时，设计师所考虑的不仅仅是色彩之间如何相互应和；家具材质怎样得宜；灯光错落何处。更多的则是，如何在这套40㎡的建筑之内，见微知著地体现他想为业主表达的生活方式和居住理念。

When designing the young woman's personal residence, the designer considered not only how to harmonize the colors, how to use the right materials for the furniture, and where to place the lighting. It was more about how to reflect the lifestyle and living concept he wanted to express for the owner within this 40㎡ building.

LIVING ROOM

开放式的餐厅和厨房、随处可见的极简边框收口、功能区泾渭分明。让设计与个人生活需求密切相关，打造出独一无二的户型图。在舒适惬意的独居生活之外，留给空间无限生长的可能性。

The open dining room and kitchen, the minimalist border closure everywhere, and the clear separation of functional areas. The design is closely related to the needs of individual life, creating a unique house plan. In addition to the comfortable and cozy living alone, the space is left with infinite possibilities for growth.

留白是最好的填空

FOYER

位于温泉公园附近的家，门窗之外就是车水马龙的街景，远处是粼粼湖面，市井与人文气息交织。窗棂与浮动的百叶后，则是主人独处的一方静谧。

Located near the hot spring park, the home has a street scene with traffic beyond the doors and windows, and a sparkling lake in the distance, where the city and humanities are intertwined. Behind the window pane and floating louvers, there is a quiet place for the owner to be alone.

除了私密的卧室区域，空间内没有绝对的功能界限。餐厅与客厅、客厅和阳台，按照使用需求的变化，各自交汇而不冲突。

Except for the private bedroom area, there are no absolute functional boundaries in the space. The dining room and the living room, the living room and the balcony, each intersecting without conflict according to the changing needs of use.

KITCHEN

如何在材料和家具选择上都匹配业主的生活习惯，也处处蕴含着设计师的巧思。细致到烹饪的喜好，衣物箱包的数量，起居时间的变化，都与空间的每个角落息息相关。

The designer's ingenuity is also reflected in the choice of materials and furniture to match the living habits of the owners. The cooking preferences, the number of clothes and bags, and the change of living time are all closely related to each corner of the space.

LIVING ROOM

在吊顶悬梁的处理上，设计师通过错落的高低设计，最大程度地为客厅保留了层高。对于小户型的设计来说，如何在视觉上扩大空间感，是最为重要的一点。于是我们可以看到，客厅并没有配备传统的茶几，而是选择了金属质感的立体边几。满足功能需求的前提下，保证了动线的流畅和视觉的开阔。

In the treatment of ceiling overhanging beams, the designer preserved the maximum level of height for the living room through staggered high and low design. For the design of a small house, how to visually expand the sense of space is the most important point. So we can see that the living room is not equipped with the traditional coffee table, but chose a metallic three-dimensional side table. To meet the functional needs of the premise, to ensure the smooth flow of movement and visual openness.

主卧的设计，则采用了居者喜欢的luxury hotel suite模式。外置的洗脸台盆提供视觉上的间隔和功能区的划分。临窗的king size bed是安置疲惫躯体和思想防空的载体。三分离的主卫则保留了主人所需要的功能和收纳空间。

The master bedroom is designed in the luxurious hotel suite model preferred by the residents. The external washbasin provides visual separation and functional division. The king size bed by the window is a carrier for the tired body and the mind to prevent emptying. The triple-separated master bathroom retains the functionality and storage space required by the owner.

该如何去定义这个家的风格呢，设计师很难给出一个确切的答案。时间分秒流动，审美亦会随之变迁。很难说在未来的几年后，居者的生活习惯，人生状态是否会发生改变，设计师希望家里的每一寸空间，都能够伴随着她一起成长。在某种程度上，留白，是最好的填空。

THE MEANING OF LIFE

It is difficult for a designer to give a definite answer as to how to define the style of the home. As time flows, aesthetics will also change. It is hard to say whether the habits and life state of the residents will change in the next few years, but the designer hopes that every inch of the home will grow with her. To some extent, leaving white space is the best way to fill in the blanks.
