Rooted in the arid vastness of Baja California, Desertic Compass unfolds as a celestial geometry six dwellings radiating from a central circular sanctuary. The layout evokes an ancient compass, aligning architecture with the cosmic and earthly directions. Each axis becomes a sacred path, connecting solitude to community, shadow to light, and the individual to the collective spirit.

Raised lightly above the ground, the structures respect the desert’s living skin its cacti, stones, and medicinal plants  allowing life to flow beneath. The material palette blends earth, stone, and warm mineral pigments, merging the built environment with the infinite horizon.

At the core, the central pavilion holds a pool of reflection both literal and symbolic  where water, sky, and architecture meet. Desertic Compass is not merely a habitat: it is a meditative cartography, a space of regeneration where orientation becomes inner alignment, and where every path is an invitation to remember one’s direction within the immensity.
