What an inspiring weekend at the PAMSC Design Festival 2024, in Malaysia!

Design Principal Chin Yong Ng delivered an insightful talk on “The Power of Retail Placemaking in Urban Development,” sparking vibrant discussions about the future of urban living. He emphasized how a strategic approach to retail design can drive urban renewal, drawing from 10 Design’s extensive portfolio in retail-led urban developments, including the Zhuhai Eco Valley Complex that we’ve envisioned for the city’s future CBD.

Located in the heart of the Xiangzhou district, the Eco Valley seamlessly merges nature, culture, and urban development, creating an oasis that provides the much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. Leveraging the unique natural resources—mountains and seas—of the area, the design promotes a healthy and sustainable environment that enhances the quality of life for both residents and visitors.

At the core of the development lies an urban green valley that fosters connectivity and outdoor enjoyment, serving as a central gathering space for the community. This project goes beyond mere revitalization; it aims to redefine urban living by weaving together rich cultural heritage and modern ecological practices.
