 “岳山造林”、“五年消灭荒山，十年绿化广东”、“新一轮绿化广东大行动”、“绿美广东”，70 年栉风沐雨，助南粤绿色版图不断扩容提质，至今广东已经成为全国最“绿”省份之一。

2019年12月4日，华南植物园90岁生日；2022 年7 月11 日，华南国家植物园在广州揭牌。

华南国家植物园，位于广东省广州市天河区天源路1190号，占地面积333公顷，是中国设立的第二个国家植物园，是中国历史最久、种类最多、面积最大的南亚热带植物园，有“中国南方绿宝石”之称。

     The South China National Botanical Garden, located at 1190 Tianyuan Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, covers an area of 333 hectares. 本次改造项目位于华南植物园中部的自然科普区，按照规划拟将原游乐场和烧烤场区域建设为绿美广东物种展示园。也是华南国家植物园自2022年正式挂牌后，首个大规模动工建设的特色专类园。

     The renovation project is located in the natural science popularization area in the central part of the South China Botanical Garden. According to the plan, the original amusement park and barbecue area will be developed into a specialized garden with the theme of showcasing green and beautiful Guangdong species.

项目设计前期深入场地调研，进行实地拍照、测绘。调研发现场地中拥有何椿年故居及陈封怀旧居等有纪念性意义的建筑，拥有众多大乔木及部分珍惜、濒危树种，总计387株乔木，品种约50种。现状场地面临设备年久失修，生态基地条件较差。

     In the early stage of project design, conduct in-depth site research, take on-site photos, and survey. Research has found that the site has commemorative buildings such as He Chunnian's former residence and Chen Fenghuai's old residence, as well as numerous large trees and some precious and endangered tree species, totaling 387 trees with about 50 species. The current site is facing equipment that has been in disrepair for a long time, and the ecological base conditions are poor.

   The design of the South China National Botanical Garden - Green Beauty Guangdong Species Exhibition Garden adopts the "local design" approach, adapts to local conditions, respects and promotes the culture of the site, and through the renewal of architecture and plants, tells the origin of historical celebrities and afforestation, creating more story points for tourists to revisit the historical process of afforestation in Guangdong. 华南国家植物园-绿美广东物种展示园设计体现“再野化”。场地设计讲究可持续发展，植物群落保留原有生态群落，减少人工干预，采用生态友好的材料和技术，以减少对环境的负面影响，实现生态园区的再造。

   The design of the South China National Botanical Garden - Green Beauty Guangdong Species Exhibition Garden embodies the concept of're wildness'. The site design emphasizes sustainable development, preserves the original ecological community of plants, reduces human intervention, uses eco-friendly materials and technologies to reduce negative impacts on the environment, and achieves the reconstruction of the ecological park.

展示园区形象入口，通过原石砌筑景墙及logo强化入口的昭示性。入口的植物设计选择新优园林植物及绿美清单景观树种，体现园区植物选种的展示性。

     Display the entrance image of the park, and enhance the visibility of the entrance through stone veneer walls and logos. The plant design at the entrance selects new and excellent garden plants and green beauty list landscape tree species, reflecting the exhibition nature of the park's plant design.

小院入口的景墙材质采用米色毛石，颜色与主入口处景墙颜色相呼应，浓密的树荫下设计有毛石坐凳，给过往游客提供一处纳凉、休憩的空间。

     The landscape wall material at the entrance of the small courtyard is beige rubble, which matches the color of the main entrance landscape wall. Under the dense shade of trees, there are designed rubble benches, providing a space for passing tourists to cool off and rest.

园区生态环境依托华南植物园植物基底，设计中保留原有生态林木的生存环境与生活空间，对部分大乔木进行常规修剪，疏通空间视线，打造健康、有机、会呼吸的院落式林区。

   The ecological environment of the park is based on the plant foundation of the South China Botanical Garden. In the design, the living environment and living space of the original ecological trees are preserved, and some large trees are regularly trimmed to clear the space and create a healthy, organic, and breathing courtyard style forest area.

在地设计具有多个维度，其中包含自然与生态、场地与场所、文化与文脉。本项目设计中，建筑更新立足于地域特征与文化背景，通过有机更新重塑历史文脉。大树保护立足于地域生态与植物生境，让大树成为园林的主角，更好践行“绿美广东”理念。

   Local design has multiple dimensions, including nature and ecology, site and place, culture and context. In the design of this project, the architectural renewal is based on regional characteristics and cultural background, reshaping the historical context through organic renewal. The protection of large trees is based on regional ecology and plant habitats, making them the protagonists of gardens and better implementing the concept of "Green and Beautiful Guangdong".

建筑的更新在保留建筑原始材料、工艺、结构的基础上，以原真性、识别性、文化性等原则进行修缮更新，通过重新粉刷建筑外皮，重新布局内部游览动线，增加名人事迹展示空间，以此满足城市居民丰富的精神文化体验与享受，让“绿美广东”事迹深入人心。

    On the basis of preserving the original materials, craftsmanship, and structure of the building, the renovation of the building is carried out in accordance with the principles of authenticity, recognizability, and cultural significance. By repainting the exterior of the building, rearranging the internal tourist route, and increasing the display space for celebrity stories, it meets the rich spiritual and cultural experience and enjoyment of urban residents, and makes the "Green and Beautiful Guangdong" story deeply rooted in people's hearts.

何椿年故居被附上了黄色的外壳，保留原有的结构与格局，内外进行翻新，满足通行功能，减少硬化面积。并且栽植有广东造林发展史相关树种、岭南文化树种植以及本土珍稀植物。

     The former residence of He Chunnian has been enclosed with a yellow shell, retaining its original structure and layout. The interior and exterior have been renovated to meet the needs of transportation and reduce the hardened area. And planted with tree species related to the history of afforestation development in Guangdong and Lingnan cultural trees.

华南国家植物园-绿美广东物种展示园拥有三百多棵乔木，在前期的调研中详细到每一棵大树的覆土坐标、地形、根系周围的覆土厚度等。建设中确保树木根系范围内覆土深度不超过树木现状根颈处的地形标高，以免影响树木呼吸及营养的吸收，影响其生长状态。

  The South China National Botanical Garden - Green Beauty Guangdong Species Exhibition Garden has more than 300 trees. In the preliminary research, the soil cover coordinates, terrain, and soil thickness around the root system of each tree were detailed. During construction, ensure that the depth of soil cover within the tree root system does not exceed the terrain elevation of the tree's current root neck, in order to avoid affecting the tree's respiration and nutrient absorption, and affecting its growth status.

设计中通过梳理地形高低与排水走向，活化林下消极空间，提升绿色基地品质，让大树空间成为游客打卡、休憩的场所。

   In the design, by sorting out the terrain height and drainage direction, the passive space under the forest is activated, and the quality of the green base is improved, making the ancient tree space a place for tourists to check-in and relax.

       大树保护的方式多种多样，尽可能维护树木的生境。为保护个别有倒伏风险的大树，运用钢结构做立体支撑，并用仿真树杆肌理作为钢结构外表皮的装饰，既保证的树木的安全性，又不影响树木的感官体验。

   There are various ways to protect large trees, and efforts should be made to maintain their habitats as much as possible. To protect individual trees at risk of lodging, steel structures are used as three-dimensional supports, and simulated tree stem textures are used as decorations for the outer skin of the steel structure, ensuring the safety of the trees without affecting their sensory experience.
