Increasingly, residential designs begin with a central element. This guiding thread guides designers not only the physical structure of the home but also the experience and atmosphere it conveys. This central element, destined to become the heart of the home, is defined by its marble-like structure as an architectural backdrop. It is more than a simple double-sided partition wall that flexibly divides spaces; more than just a common masonry element that allows for the free transformation of room layouts; more than just a "watershed" solution.This double wall represents a true passageway,connecting not only physical spaces but also experiences and emotions.

Located in one of Naples' most important and central areas, this 110-square-meter residence is housed in a historic building from the early 20th century, constructed entirely of tuff stone and characterized by its distinctive thick walls. These features were utilized to create a space that not only respects the building's history but also redefines it with a modern and functional aesthetic. The creation of double walls preserves and emphasizes the original structure, thus serving as the starting point for a unique and sophisticated design that blends history with modernity.

On the other side is a lounge area, centered around a large screen embedded in a massive wall clad in brushed Emperador marble. In this space, "rigor, technical detail, and grandeur harmoniously coexist with decorative elements, creating a unique and tailored interior design." The furniture, designed by dnassociati Studio, is composed of iconic elements of Italian design, "which serve as unique protagonists, harmoniously coordinated with each other and with unmistakable precision." To enhance the overall effect, the perimeter walls alternate between white lacquered wood paneling, dark heat-treated oak vertical strips, and Roman travertine panels, cladding the load-bearing walls and passageways.

The focal point is a double-sided partition, traversed by a chimney tunnel and defined by two distinct corners, each with a specific function and architectural language. On one side: The seating area surrounds a large screen embedded in a majestic wall clad in brushed Emperador marble.

The furniture is simple and modern, with premium leather sofas and chairs adding a touch of sophistication. The curtain pattern harmonizes with the overall style.

The spatial layout features clear functional areas, divided by partitions. The spacious living room features sofas and chairs that facilitate interaction. A leisure area near the window provides ample light and is ideal for relaxation. The overall layout is well-organized, with smooth movement, ensuring a sense of spaciousness while maintaining privacy.

Dark and beige marble floors and walls complement the white bathtub, while the ceiling features an exquisite suspended ceiling, creating an overall luxurious and elegant feel.

The dark brown and black of the dark marble establishes a luxurious texture, complemented by the soft warmth of the beige marble, creating a contrasting yet harmonious visual effect. White sanitary ware brightens the space and adds a sense of cleanliness, while metallic accents such as the gold faucet enhance the sophistication and luxury of the overall style.

Ultimately, in the balance between "preservation" and "rebirth", the sedimentation of history becomes the nourishment of modern aesthetics, making the space engraved with the mark of time and radiating the vitality of the present.
