Initial plans for this Montreal home included modernizing the public spaces, but the transformation quickly turned into a complete renovation. The inspiration of mid-century modern architecture became a catalyst for the design process and continued to enrich the design through layered references that combine shapes, textures, patterns, noble materials and sophisticated tones.

The design development was not without its challenges: the residence features an impressive array of natural stone finishes, including Paonazzetto and Alexandrita marble, pink onyx, and a custom Rosso Alicante marble and travertine mosaic for the master bathroom floor, the installation of which required the intervention of highly specialized craftsmen in a complex project; further evidence of FAM DESIGN’s commitment to excellence in both the creative and execution phases.

The walls of the house are covered with Venetian plaster and carefully selected textured wallpapers, including designs by Kelly Wearstler, Missoni and Black Edition. Through careful research of internationally renowned brands and e-commerce websites, the interiors are decorated with furniture with a timeless aesthetic and vintage and contemporary lighting, creating light effects that enhance the beauty of the space. Finally, an impressive art collection completes the space, adding a touch of sophistication without being overly luxurious. The home has been transformed into a sanctuary that combines art and style without losing sight of simplicity of language and elegance in form.
