Rural renewal is not merely a simple physical transformation, but a profound dialogue about lifestyle and the demands of The Times. Architecture, as a space with thoughts, will become a key medium to activate the genes of rural areas.

项目背景

项目位于北京市通州区唐大庄村，依托北京环球影城带来的超级流量场域，村落有了新的发展方向，将宅院改造成民宿成为该村的共识。我们在此改造的12个院落，均通过建筑艺术介入乡村更新的方式实现功能的转型。

The project is located in Tangdazhuang Village, Tongzhou District, Beijing. Relying on the super traffic field brought by Universal Studios Beijing, the village has a new development direction. Transforming the residences into homestays has become a consensus in the village. The 12 courtyards we have renovated here have all achieved functional transformation through the intervention of architectural art in rural renewal.

改造前

基地西侧紧邻乡村主干道，占地面积约300平方米。其原始建筑格局为北方传统三合院形制——正房与东西厢房围合中央庭院。

The west side of the base is adjacent to the main rural road, covering an area of approximately 275 square meters.

Its original architectural layout is the traditional northern three-courtyard form - the main house and the east and west wing rooms enclose the central courtyard.

为契合客户多元化的经营需求，空间规划打破传统院落格局，将公区、开放式厨房、客房及庭院有机融合，采用当代建筑语汇对原有民居空间进行重构，在满足现代居住功能需求的同时，构建一个艺术空间的叙事体系。

To meet the diverse business needs of clients, the spatial planning breaks away from the traditional courtyard layout, organically integrating the public area, open kitchen, guest room and courtyard. It reconstructs the original residential space using contemporary architectural vocabulary, meeting the modern living functional requirements while building a narrative system of artistic space.

圆的空间序列

建筑沿街外立面通过大小不一的圆形开窗形成“街景取景器”，构建了封闭民居建筑与村落街景的互动界面。

自建筑立面的圆形窗户起，圆这一设计语汇便贯穿空间始终，形成了特有的空间记忆点。

The exterior facade of the building along the street forms a "street view viewfinder" through circular Windows of different sizes, creating an interactive interface between the closed residential building and the village street scene.

Starting from the circular Windows on the building facade, the design vocabulary of "circle" runs through the entire space, forming a unique spatial memory point.

向内延伸，建筑内部的公区空间设置圆形开窗与外立面形成呼应。阳光透过圆形窗户洒入室内，形成独特的光影效果，为居者带来别样的视觉体验。

Extending inward, the public areas inside the building are equipped with circular Windows that echo the exterior facade.

Sunlight streams into the room through the circular Windows, creating a unique light and shadow effect and offering the residents a distinctive visual experience.

庭院空间的圆形“框景”

延续圆窗的形制，在庭院隔墙设置双层月洞门作为院与院的通道，形成实与虚的呼应，两门之间形成天然的景框夹层，构成了层层叠透的视觉层次。透过圆框可见视觉中心处的一棵古松，重现了古典园林的诗意，赋予空间一种宁静的禅意。

Continuing the shape of the round window, double-layer crescent-shaped doors are set up on the courtyard partition wall as the passage between courtyards, creating a correspondence between the solid and the void. Between the two doors, a natural frame layer is formed, creating a visual layering effect that is layered and transparent. Through the circular frame, an ancient pine tree can be seen at the visual center, recreating the poetic charm of a classical garden and endowing the space with a serene Zen-like atmosphere.

作为内庭院重要的功能设施，圆形泡池为整个空间增添了灵动性和趣味性，水面倒映着纯白建筑、植物和天空，进一步加强庭院的视觉感受。

As an important functional facility in the inner courtyard, the circular hot spring pool adds vitality and interest to the entire space. The pure white buildings, plants and the sky are reflected on the water surface, further enhancing the visual experience of the courtyard.

此次空间改造用现代设计语汇重构居住场景，将传统园林的美学观念融入到当代设计中，纯白的建筑表皮与圆形几何相互映衬，打破北方传统民居的厚重与封闭。居者在此既能感受现代设计带来的舒适与便捷，又能领略传统美学的雅致意蕴，让建筑成为连接过去与未来的媒介。

This spatial renovation reconstructs the living scene with modern design vocabulary, integrating the aesthetic concepts of traditional gardens into contemporary design. The pure white building skin and circular geometric shapes complement each other, breaking the heaviness and enclosure of traditional northern residences. Here, residents can not only experience the comfort and convenience brought by modern design, but also appreciate the elegant connotation of traditional aesthetics, making the building a medium connecting the past and the future.
