Following the DANTON Narita Airport store, kooo once again took on the spatial design for DANTON Fukuoka store. This project is located within a highly open commercial environment, where we aimed to explore how a limited number of physical boundaries could be used to shape a space with strong brand identity—one in which customers could naturally encounter and remain engaged with the world of DANTON as they move freely through the space.

福冈的店铺位于一个三面临通道、仅一面实体墙的特殊位置。由于两侧短边与一侧长边均朝向通道，整个空间具有极高的开放性与可见性，但也意味着可用于展示的墙面极为有限，因此在设计中需要更加审慎地思考如何有效传达品牌的世界观。

The DANTON FUKUOKA store occupies a space that is open on three sides, with only one solid wall, offering strong visibility and a sense of openness. However, the lack of enclosure makes it harder to create visual focus or clearly express the brand’s identity. The design therefore required a thoughtful approach to ensure the brand’s worldview could be effectively conveyed.

通道看向内部

从短边两侧来往的顾客视角来看，若沿用原有的直线墙体进行室内设计，商品陈列和品牌信息可能难以吸引注意，顾客的视线容易直接穿越至后方的其他店铺。因此，为了打造更具记忆点的视觉印象，我们认为需要引入某种设计策略来引导和留驻视线。

From the perspective of customers approaching from either short side, simply using the existing straight wall in the interior layout may fail to attract attention, as the eye can easily continue past the store toward more prominent visuals deeper in the mall. To leave a stronger impression, we saw the need for a design strategy that could guide and hold the customer’s gaze.

弧形墙面贯穿空间

我们提出了一个从实体墙两端向中央缓缓鼓出的弧形展示墙设计。在左右方向的视线中，这一微妙的曲线起伏，使木质表面与商品陈列形成视觉锚点，让顾客在行走中自然地不断与商品邂逅。

In response, we proposed an 

arched display wall that gently curves outward from both ends of the solid wall toward the center. This subtle curvature introduces a soft rh

ythm to the space, with the wooden surface and displayed products forming natural visual anchors. As customers walk past, the design encourages a natural, ongoing encounter with the products.

字形通道的动线与视线，当顾客不经意望向

店铺时，无论位于哪个方向，商品始终以正面呈现在眼前，营造出自然而连续的视觉对话，进一步强化了品牌与顾客之间的互动体验。

The arched form also responds to the U-shaped circulation around the site. As visitors glance toward the store, regardless of the direction they approach from, products are consistently presented in a front-facing view. This creates a seamless and intuitive visual dialogue, reinforcing the interaction between the brand and its audience.

可调节的系统

此外，我们也充分利用了弧形墙体背后的空间。将店铺中央最深且最显眼的位置，设置为收银与后场（

BOH

）区域，以提高运营效率。

Additionally, we made full use of the space behind the curved wall. The central area—both the deepest and most visible—was designated for the cashier and back-of-house (BOH) functions to enhance operational efficiency.

靠近大型柱体内侧的隐蔽区域，设有两个试衣间，兼顾开放环境中的私密性。两侧尖角区域因设有建筑设备（

PS

），则被规划为检查维护通道。

Two fitting rooms are discreetly located behind the large structural column, ensuring privacy in an otherwise open layout. At the two sharp corners, where mechanical shafts (PS) are installed, space was allocated for inspection and maintenance access.

通过顺应这一高度开放的空间特性，并转化其局限性，我们力求实现一个兼具品牌表达与功能性的空间设计方案。

By embracing the space’s open nature and reinterpreting its constraints, we aimed to create a spatial solution that balances brand expression with practical functionality.
