Project Overview

该项目为位于上海的日式餐厅金 Omakase 的扩建，由 TUO 建筑设计事务所设计。扩建需在短时间内完成，既为商业街道提供可停留的公共空间，又为餐厅增设入口与包间。

This project is an extension of the Japanese restaurant Golden Omakase in Shanghai, designed by atelier TUO. The extension was required to be completed within a short construction period, providing a small public space along the commercial street while adding a new entrance and private dining room for the restaurant.

金 Omakase 位于上海一处具有商业与历史氛围的街区。为保留消防车通道，扩建场地呈细长形，约长 15 米、宽 2.1 米。人流集中来自场地一侧。

Located in a district that combines commercial vibrancy with historical character, the site is long and narrow—approximately 15 meters in length and 2.1 meters in width—preserving a required fire access lane. Pedestrian flow is concentrated along one side of the site.

方案需在有限空间中兼顾两种需求：于非用餐时段为街道提供可停留的公共空间，同时为餐厅提供玄关与包间，并以新的门头形象调和餐厅与街道的不同诉求。

The design responds to two simultaneous needs: to create a public space that remains accessible during non-dining hours, and to provide a new threshold and private room for the restaurant. A new facade mediates between the intimacy of the restaurant and the openness of the street.

设计以平衡餐厅的私密性与街道空间的开放性为核心，并以快速施工为前提，从地面、墙体与屋顶三个层面展开。地面以材质变化划分为餐厅区、过渡区与公共区，碎石铺地形成边界；预制竹纹混凝土墙贯穿各区，将被分割的铺地重新整合为连续整体。三片铝镁锰屋面与对应的柱子形成独立结构系统，既提供遮蔽，又回应餐厅的LOGO。清晰的顶—地—墙关系界定了工厂预制与现场施工的边界，使快速搭建成为可能。

Balancing privacy and publicity forms the core of the design, which was conceived with rapid construction in mind. The intervention unfolds through three layers—ground, wall, and roof. The ground is divided by material changes into restaurant, transitional, and public zones, with gravel paving defining soft boundaries. A prefabricated bamboo-textured concrete wall runs through these zones, reconnecting the fragmented site into a continuous whole. Three metal roofs, each supported by its own column system, provide shelter while echoing the restaurant’s logo. The clear articulation between roof, ground, and wall defines the boundary between factory prefabrication and on-site assembly, making swift construction possible.

包间桌面由三块苏州传统金砖拼合而成，以材质呼应餐厅名称“金”；墙面所用碳化木取自原餐厅外立面的再利用，延续原立面的记忆。

In the private room, the table is formed by three large Suzhou golden bricks, referencing the restaurant’s name “Golden.” The charred wood cladding is repurposed from the original restaurant facade, extending the memory of the original facade.
