Interpreting the Peaches nail salon on Karlsplatz in Vienna from an artistic perspective, Destilat uses "homogeneous surface" as a pen to write a spatial narrative about softness and strength in a 75㎡ space. When customers push open the frosted glass door, they are greeted by geometric blocks softened by a pink halo - the ceiling and the wall transition with a 15° arc, and the subtle texture left by the spatula craftsmanship glows with the luster of mother-of-pearl under the Xal spotlight, like a carefully cut peach, where the soft pink flesh and the toughness of the core coexist.

The designer’s treatment of materials hides a metaphor of female power. The floor is made of 3cm thick Carrara marble fragments, which form a "hard and soft dialogue" with the microcement wall after 6 polishing processes: the natural veins of the marble penetrate into the smooth texture of the microcement like blood vessels, and the 2mm metal inlays deliberately retained at the corners are like the delicate outline of the edge of a manicure. The most exquisite is the staircase design - the 12 steps are cast in gradient pink glass, and the built-in LED light strips form a flowing light strip between the steps. When customers climb the stairs, the interaction between the skirt and light and shadow becomes a dynamic installation art in the space.

The space is based on Morandi gray, but rich peach pink bursts out at three key points: the curved sofa facing the entrance is made of 100% wool felt fabric. The 85% saturation pink tone forms a 60° visual angle with the gray wall, becoming a natural background for customers to take selfies; the ceiling of the nail art area on the second floor is cut into diamond-shaped pink mirrors. When customers lie down for a manicure, the mirror refraction extends the space to "infinity"; the most dramatic is the round pink glass partition in the bathroom. The material with a light transmittance of 30% allows light and shadow to penetrate like morning mist, blurring the boundary between public and private spheres.

This color layout hides psychological considerations: the Destilat team tracked and recorded the emotional feedback of 120 customers and found that when the proportion of pink in the gray space is controlled at 18%, it can both stimulate pleasure and avoid visual fatigue. Therefore, on the custom chandelier of the nail table, the designer used pink glass beads to string a curtain. When the light passes through, the ground will form a gradient light spot like nail polish, turning the waiting time into a sensory experience.

The 7-meter-long manicure table is the nerve center of the space. The curved chair customized by 101 Copenhagen is based on ergonomics. The peach-shaped hollow on the back of the chair echoes the 0.5cm chamfer on the edge of the table. Even more ingenious is the hidden storage system under the tabletop - the drawers classified by nail polish color are opened by induction. The moment the customer reaches out, the corresponding light strip will automatically light up. This "predicted demand" makes the service process part of the spatial narrative.

"We want to make the process of going upstairs a small ceremony." The designer mentioned that vintage nail tools are displayed in the niches at the corners of the stairs, forming a dialogue between time and space with modern materials, and the special angle design of the skylight on the top ensures that the sunlight at 3 pm will be accurately projected in the center of the stairs, creating a golden moment for checking in and taking photos.

Destilat uses the sculptural feel of materials, the emotional tension of colors, and the body narrative of space to elevate the nail salon from a service place to a pink poem in the city. Here, every manicure is a gentle tribute to oneself, and every inch of space tells the multifaceted possibilities of women’s power.
