In a quiet corner of Lake Gentoft in the north of Copenhagen, a historic house built in 1918 has been carefully renovated and customized with a new look, becoming an ideal choice for modern families seeking tranquility in a fast-paced life.

在哥本哈根北部，静静依偎着根托夫特湖的一处宁静角落，一座始建于 1918 年的历史老宅，历经精心改造与定制化的室内装修后，以全新的姿态重焕生机，成为现代家庭在快节奏生活中寻觅宁静的理想之选。

整体设计理念：量身定制，和谐共生

For this renovation, the design team knew that as a framework for daily life and happiness, the light, materials, colors and scale of the building are crucial. All interior decorations are tailor-made, abandoning the cookie-cutter scheme. These customized designs not only meet functional requirements, but also fully consider the integration with the building, so that it complements the surrounding environment and exudes unique charm.

此次翻新，设计团队深知建筑作为日常生活与幸福感的框架，其内部的光线、材料、色彩和尺度等元素至关重要。摒弃千篇一律的方案，所有室内装饰均为量身定制。这些定制设计不仅满足功能需求，还充分考量与建筑的融合，使其与周围环境相得益彰，散发独特魅力。

室内空间：材质交织，营造温馨氛围

The kitchen was designed by Norm Architects and carefully built by Danish cabinet manufacturer Kolon. The smooth stone countertops are matched with warm oak and dark oiled walnut elements, and the classic herringbone flooring is set off by the interweaving of cool and warm tones, showing both modern sophistication and the charm of traditional craftsmanship. The ample natural light makes the whole space look simple and elegant, which perfectly matches the historical heritage of the old house.

厨房由  Norm Architects 设计，丹麦橱柜制造商 Kolon  精心打造。光滑的石质台面搭配温润的橡木与深色油浸胡桃木元素，与经典的人字形地板相互映衬，冷暖色调交织，既展现出现代的精致感，又不失传统工艺的韵味。充足的自然光线洒入，让整个空间显得简洁而高雅，与老宅的历史底蕴完美契合。

A large number of natural materials are used indoors to further enhance the warm texture and touch of the space. The combination of different types of wood creates a rich and diverse atmosphere. In the darker areas, it gives people a sense of calmness and peace of mind; while in the open and bright areas, it is light and elegant. Walking in it, it feels like being in the embrace of nature, and you can feel the warmth and vitality of home with every step.

室内大量运用天然材料，进一步提升空间的温暖质感与触感。不同种类木材的搭配，营造出丰富多样的氛围。在色调较深的区域，给人沉稳安心之感；而在开阔明亮之处，则尽显轻盈优雅。漫步其中，仿佛置身于自然怀抱，每一步都能感受到家的温馨与活力。

Going up to the second floor, the replanned space is centered on a central axis, and the unique layout allows the line of sight to penetrate the entire floor. The raised ceiling and exposed beams cleverly magnify the sense of space, extending from the bedroom through the office area and the children's room to the independent stone wall in the bathroom at the other end, forming a rare transparent connection between different areas, making the space more visually open.

走上二楼，经过重新规划的空间以一条中轴线为核心，独特的布局让视线能够贯穿整个楼层。抬升的天花板与裸露的横梁，巧妙地放大了空间感，从卧室穿过办公区和儿童房，一直延伸至另一端浴室中的独立石墙，不同区域之间形成了罕见的通透连接，让空间在视觉上更加开阔。

In the home office area, a long wooden table spans the wall, dividing two comfortable work areas. The bedroom also makes clever use of space, with a low bench set under the window. This vertical layout increases the width of the room. The design of the wardrobe from the floor to the ceiling not only stores clothes, but also visually stretches the height of the space, making full use of every inch of space.

在家庭办公区，一张长条形木板桌横跨墙面，划分出两个舒适的工作区域。卧室同样巧妙利用空间，沿窗户下方设置了低矮长椅，这种纵向布局增加了房间的宽度感。而衣柜从地面到天花板的设计，在收纳衣物的同时，也在视觉上拉伸了空间高度，让每一寸空间都得到了充分利用。

The chimney in the main room is wrapped in a thick wall, which not only organizes the space, but also integrates built-in bookshelves according to the Japanese "Tokonoma" principle. The precious items placed on the bookshelf are like three-dimensional paintings, adding artistic atmosphere and cultural connotation to the space.

主房间的烟囱被厚实的墙壁包裹，既规整了空间，又依照日本 “床の間”（Tokonoma）原则，融入了嵌入式书架。书架上摆放的珍贵物品，宛如一幅幅立体画作，为空间增添了艺术气息与文化内涵。

In the bathroom, walnut cabinets are paired with purple-gray marble sinks, and the floor is covered with tiles, creating a quiet and private space. This is in stark contrast to the high and bright office area next to it, which is laid with light oak wood floors. The independent stone wall with the same floor tiles cleverly divides the functional areas of the bathroom. Since the stone wall does not extend to the ceiling, the space remains transparent and open while being divided, without any sense of crampedness.

浴室里，胡桃木橱柜搭配紫灰色大理石水槽，地面铺满瓷砖，营造出宁静的私密空间。与旁边挑高明亮、铺设浅橡木木地板的办公区相比，形成了鲜明对比。而那面与地面瓷砖相同的独立石墙，巧妙划分浴室功能区，由于石墙并未延伸至天花板，使得空间在分区的同时仍保持通透开阔，丝毫没有局促之感。

室外环境：老宅与湖景的交融

It is not difficult to imagine that this old house facing the lake must echo the lake view after the renovation. Looking out the window from the interior, the lake surface is sparkling, which complements the warm decoration inside the house. The green plants around the old house may have been carefully trimmed, and the changing seasons bring different natural scenery to the interior. The tranquility of the lakeshore and the comfort of the interior are integrated, allowing residents to enjoy this unique tranquility and beauty at any time in their busy lives.

不难想象，这座临湖而居的老宅，在改造后必然与湖景相互呼应。从室内望向窗外，湖面波光粼粼，与屋内温馨的装饰相得益彰。老宅周边的绿植或许经过精心修剪，四季变换，为室内带来不同的自然景致。湖岸的宁静与室内的舒适融合，让居住者在忙碌的生活中，能随时享受这份独特的宁静与美好。

The renovation of KOLON HOUSE is a respect and innovation for historical buildings, a perfect combination of natural materials and modern design, and a vivid practice of creating an ideal home for residents.
