Rural renewal is not merely a simple physical transformation, but a profound dialogue about lifestyle and the demands of The Times. Architecture, as a space with thoughts, will become a key medium to activate the genes of rural areas.

项目背景
项目位于北京市通州区唐大庄村,依托北京环球影城带来的超级流量场域,村落有了新的发展方向,将宅院改造成民宿成为该村的共识。我们在此改造的12个院落,均通过建筑艺术介入乡村更新的方式实现功能的转型。
The project is located in Tangdazhuang Village, Tongzhou District, Beijing. Relying on the super traffic field brought by Universal Studios Beijing, the village has a new development direction. Transforming the residences into homestays has become a consensus in the village. The 12 courtyards we have renovated here have all achieved functional transformation through the intervention of architectural art in rural renewal.

改造前
基地西侧紧邻乡村主干道,占地面积约330平方米。其原始建筑格局为北方传统三合院形制——正房与东西厢房围合中央庭院。改造前,建筑顶部为斜面彩钢屋顶,上方安装房东的太阳能板设施。基于现场实际情况,本次改造将在完整保留既有结构及太阳能板的前提下,对建筑空间进行优化与功能重塑。
The west side of the base is adjacent to the main rural road, covering an area of approximately 275 square meters.
Its original architectural layout is the traditional northern three-courtyard form - the main house and the east and west wing rooms enclose the central courtyard.
Before the renovation, the top of the building was a sloping color steel roof, with the landlord's solar panel facilities installed on top.
Based on the actual situation on site, this renovation will optimize and functionally reshape the building space while fully retaining the existing structure and solar panels.

整个设计采用当代建筑语汇对原有民居空间进行重构,在满足现代居住功能需求的同时,
构建一个艺术空间的叙事体系。
The entire design adopts contemporary architectural vocabulary to reconstruct the original residential space. While meeting the functional requirements of modern living, it constructs a narrative system of an artistic space.

拱的空间叙事
从建筑入口处的拱形屋顶到公区的拱形吊顶,东侧客房的拱形吊顶及飘窗,
拱形设计语汇一直贯穿于整个民宿空间,形成了特有的空间记忆点。
From the arched roof at the entrance of the building to the arched ceiling in the public area, the arched ceiling and bay Windows of the guest rooms on the east side, the arched design vocabulary runs through the entire space of the homestay, forming a unique spatial memory point.

公共空间与庭院空间的连接
为契合民宿旅居、团建等多元化的使用需求,我们将庭院下沉打造为景观泳池,泳池中植入一棵苍劲松树,构筑“一池一景”的视觉焦点,公区南侧采用整面玻璃幕墙,打破室内外边界,将自然光影与四季景致引入室内空间,实现了空间与景观的交融,无形中拓展了不同功能区域的使用面积。
The main wall of the courtyard corridor continues the local red brick masonry technology. In order to solve the problem of cramped site, the circular lighting patio is placed on the roof of the west courtyard to solve the ventilation and lighting problem of the narrow courtyard.

依托原有建筑空间设置6间客房、下沉卡座、公区及开放式厨房,
考虑正房公区的
4.7
米的层高优势,采用拱形吊顶塑造立体空间,
西侧立面上方设置采光窗户以达到更好光照。
Based on the original building space, six guest rooms, sunken booths, public areas and an open kitchen are set up. Considering the 4.7-meter ceiling height advantage of the main building's public area, an arched ceiling is adopted to create a three-dimensional space. A skylight is set above the west facade to achieve better lighting.
