Mammut购物中心Kollab空间丨匈牙利丨Paradigma Ariadné Ltd.

这些庞大的建筑迅速占据了市中心的一些空置地块。这些新的购物中心闪亮耀眼，承诺为经历了长期物资短缺的社会带来更好的资本主义未来，提供无限消费的机会，尤其对于那些经历了第二次世界大战后基本产品匮乏的社会而言。因此，大多数这些购物中心至今依然充满生气，吸引着大量顾客，但随着时间的推移，三十年过去了，这些购物中心开始面临新的挑战。布达佩斯的Mammut购物中心便是其中之一，位于布达市心脏地带，靠近曾经被称为“莫斯科广场”的地方。正如其名字所示，Mammut购物中心庞大无比，但它的设计出自一个时期，当时的匈牙利建筑师在吸引顾客进入消费迷宫的设计技巧上尚不如今天的成熟。因此，Mammut的三楼略显偏离主要的顾客通道，部分区域因此未被出租。Mammut购物中心的管理层决定通过一种类似于城市管理方式的方案来解决这个问题，即先发展公共空间，并希望这一发展能在社区和经济两方面带来积极影响。Mammut决定邀请布达佩斯文化生活中的两个重要人物，将其中一个空置商铺变为有生命的空间。Tibor Remete和Adél Kovács在文化创作、娱乐和商业管理领域拥有丰富经验，他们擅长聚集能够赋予空间生命的人们。

Shopping malls appeared in the capitals of Post Socialist countries after the change of the regime in 1990’s. These huge buildings immediately occupied some of the empty plots in the downtowns even. These new shopping malls were shiny and promised a better capitalist future with unlimited consumption for societies who experienced scarcity of basic products for a long period of time after the second world war. Therefor most of these shopping malls are still full of life, and provide products for the visitors, but anyhow 30 years have passed, and with age shopping malls are now facing new challenges.Like the Mammut Shopping Mall in Budapest, in the heart of Buda side close to the formerly called Moscow square. As its name indicates it the Mammut shopping mall is enormous, but it was designed in a time, when Hungarian architects were not as skilled to catch visitor in the labyrinth of consumption as they are today. Therefore, the third floor of the Mammut is a bit out of the main paths what visitors mainly follow, and because of this some of the places are unrented. The management of Mammut decided to change this situation with a solution that is slightly similar to the way through the management of whole cities make alive city parts which are struggle. They develop the public space first, and they hope, the development will be fruitful on the side of the community and economy as well. Mammut decided to invite two players of the cultural life of Budapest, to bring life to one of the empty shops to the Mammut. Tibor Remete and Adél Kovács have lot of experience in the field of culture making, entertaining and business management, and they are skilled to bring together those people who can fulfill a place with life.

Paradigma Ariadné建筑事务所的建筑师，应Tibor和Adél的邀请参与了该项目，设计的共同目标是为这个新的空间提供设计和空间解决方案，打造一个自由、公共的客厅，位于一个主要鼓励顾客消费的购物中心三楼。这就是Kollab的诞生——一个在购物中心中可以自由度过时光的地方。在设计中，建筑师寻找能够改变传统购物中心审美品质的元素。所有的形态和材料都服务于这一目标。当访客步入Kollab时，他们会立刻感受到这里与其他购物中心的不同。或许他们在第一次进入时并不清楚自己身处何地，但可以肯定的是，他们会意识到这里不仅仅是一个可以购买新电子产品或时髦衣服的地方。波浪形的桌子、像马斯塔巴（古埃及的阶梯状墓冢）一样的展示台、粗犷的砖块以及欢迎游客休息的黄色波纹塑料覆盖物，都邀请着游客在此停留、休息，并参与文化活动。然而，这些元素不仅仅是空间的美学特征，它们还是功能性的组成部分，作为即将在Kollab举办的音乐会、工作坊、展览和戏剧演出的背景。

We, the architects of Paradigma Ariadné were involved to the project by Tibor and Adél, and our common aim was to bring design and spatial solutions to this new place that can create a feeling of a free, public living room on the third floor of a building where everything mostly drives you to buy something finally. This is how Kollab came to life, a place where you can freely have your time in a shopping mall. In our design we searched for tools which are able to divert the usual aesthetic quality of a shopping mall. All the shapes and materials serve this purpose. Once the visitor enters to the Kollab, they can feel, that they are in a place which is different. Maybe it is not clear for them for the first time where are they, but it definitely will be clear it is something else then a place where they can buy new gadgets or fancy clothes. The wavy tables, the mastaba-like stand, the raw brick blocks and the yellow corrugated plastic coverage welcoming the visitor to sit, to rest and meet cultural events for a while. But these elements are not simply aesthetic features of the place they are functional elements and a background of concerts, workshops, exhibitions and plays that will take place at Kollab in the upcoming year.
