富春江畔，水碧山青，华师桐庐幼儿园（未来城园区）项目位于浙江省桐庐县富春江南侧约3km，桐庐高铁站西侧约2km，是一所18班大型幼儿园。设计充分考虑建筑与周边城市环境的融合以及儿童身心特征，在解决幼儿园基本功能的基础上置入新的空间维度——开放流动的非功能空间，使之与既有功能空间碰撞、交融，创造出无限的空间潜力和活动场景，激发儿童多样化行为，为孩子们提供一处快乐成长的追梦舞台。©方炜淼 赵超楠

Cradled by the pristine waters and emerald hills of the Fuchun River, the Hua Shi Tonglu Kindergarten (Future City Campus) is situated in Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province. The site is approximately 3 km south of the Fuchun River and 2 km west of the Tonglu High-Speed Rail Station.Conceived as an 18-class large-scale kindergarten, the design integrates the building with its urban context while responding to the psychological characteristics of children. Beyond fulfilling fundamental operational requirements, the scheme introduces a new spatial dimension—open and fluid non-functional spaces. These interweave with designated functional areas, creating a dynamic interplay that unlocks infinite spatial potential and diverse activity scenarios. This environment encourages a wide range of behaviors and provides children with a stimulating stage to pursue their dreams happily.

场地营建 城森共筑

Integration of Site, City, and Nature

自然 幼儿园场地东南侧有一座高度为15m左右的山体公园，自然景观条件优越。设计伊始充分尊重场地自然条件，采用了层层退台+功能体块置入的空间组织模式，与东南侧山体公园建立了良好的视线交流关系。位于1-3层的幼儿活动单元可以同时享有良好的日照条件以及不同标高平台朝向公园的视野。

Nature To the southeast of the kindergarten site is a hill park (approximately 15 meters high), which offers superior natural scenery. In the beginning, the design fully respects these natural site conditions: It adopts a spatial organization of layered setbacks with the insertion of functional volumes, establishing a strong visual connection with the southeastern hill park. The children’s activity units located on Floors 1 - 3 consequently enjoy ample sunlight alongside views from various terraces toward the park.

城市幼儿园北侧、西南侧以城市环境为主，设计以水平向的形式逻辑创造出层次丰富的半室外平台灰空间，成为城市公共空间和幼儿园建筑内部空间之间的过渡。由此，建筑与周围的城市环境产生了积极的对话关系，幼儿园不再是封闭内向的乐园，而成为社区中的活力元素，得以与自然和社会建立联结。

City The northern and southwestern sides of the kindergarten are primarily characterized by the urban context. In response, the design employs a strong horizontal formal language to create layered semi-outdoor platforms and in-between spaces. These areas act as a transition between the urban public realm and the kindergarten’s internal spaces. Consequently, the building engages in a positive dialogue with its urban surroundings. It transcends the typology of an enclosed, inward-looking sanctuary to become a vibrant community element, fostering connections with both nature and society.

立体平台 内外交互

Spatial Platforms & Interior-Exterior Interaction

立体连通、内外交互的室外空间系统是幼儿园最核心的空间设计特征。水平向层层退台形成的半室外空间，逐层回旋向上，成为立体生长的“无限之环”。儿童可以由东侧的架空活动场地（结合景观草坡设计）出发，经坡道到达二层音体室外的室外活动平台（1F-2F）；再继续由西侧坡道向上，到达三层南侧门厅上方的室外活动平台（2F-3F）；接下来，通过内院一侧的室外楼梯，上至屋顶层分班活动场地的区域，并可以由东侧阶梯草坡继续向上，到达四层屋顶，直面南侧大奇山的美景（3F-RF），形成了一个循环往复的“环游结构”。在这个环游系统中，儿童可以随时停留，在半室外空间场所开展自发的公共活动。

A three-dimensionally connected and interior-exterior interactive system of outdoor space constitutes the core spatial design feature of this kindergarten. The semi-outdoor space, formed by horizontally layered setbacks, spiral upward to become a spatially growing “infinite loop.” Children can begin their journey from the elevated activity area on the eastern side (integrated with landscaped slopes). They proceed via a ramp to the outdoor activity platform outside the multi-purpose room on the second floor (connecting Levels 1-2). Continuing upward via the western ramp, they reach the activity platform above the southern lobby on the third floor (connecting Levels 2-3). Next, an outdoor staircase adjacent to the inner courtyard leads up to the rooftop class-dedicated activity areas. From there, they can ascend further via the eastern stepped grassland to the fourth-floor roof, where they are greeted by the panoramic view of the majestic Daqi Mountain (connecting Levels 3-RF). This sequence forms a continuous “circulatory loop.” Within this looping system, children can pause at any moment, engaging in spontaneous public activities across these diverse Semi-outdoor space.

多维空间 行为激发

Multidimensional Space& Behavior Inspiration

未来城幼儿园项目设计充分考虑幼儿行为模式，其行为激发空间主要位于建筑中的非功能空间——包含走廊、露台、中庭、半室外开放空间等等。由于这些空间的功能形式具有灵活变化的可能性，因而可以激发儿童多维度的活动，使幼儿园真正成为集生活、游乐、学习、交流各种活动为一体的“小型城市社区”。

Kindergarten’s design is deeply informed by the behavioral patterns of young children. The spaces dedicated to stimulating behavior are primarily the non-functional areas within the architecture—including corridors, terraces, atriums, and semi-outdoor open spaces. Because the functional configuration of these spaces allows for flexibility and adaptation, they possess the potential to inspire multidimensional activities of children. This approach transforms the kindergarten into a true “micro-urban community,” integrating living, playing, learning, and socializing into a cohesive community.

活力童趣的独处空间

Playful Solitude Space

幼儿园东侧，结合景观草坡设置了富有趣味的“树屋”装置。“树屋”以坡顶为空间原型，是一个可以得到类似家一样包裹感的空间。“树屋”在保有较高私密度的同时，也与外部公共空间如中心庭院有着视线上的联系，儿童可以在此处休息、观望，决定要不要加入室外空间进行中的一些群体活动；因而这里也成为了群体活动间隙的休息和缓冲地带。

On the eastern side of the kindergarten, an engaging “Treehouse” is integrated with the landscaped slope. Drawing spatial inspiration from the form of a gabled roof, the Treehouse offers a sheltered, womb-like space reminiscent of the comforting embrace of a home. While maintaining a high degree of privacy, it simultaneously preserves visual connections to external public areas, such as the central courtyard. Here, children can retreat, observe, and decide whether to join the group activities in the outdoor spaces. Consequently, this space also functions as a retreat and a social buffer zone during breaks from collective engagement.

局部放大的走廊空间

Locally Widened Corridor Space

走廊空间不仅仅是交通服务空间，而是可以成为多种公共活动的发生地。公共走廊的宽度都被设计为≥3m的尺度，可以容纳休息、阅览、展示等多种功能。同时，各层平面布局中，走廊每隔30 - 40m设置放大的空间节点，比如首层的开放接待厅、二层音体室南侧的活动厅等等。这些空间节点打破了走廊线性单一的空间节奏，结合室内游乐区、涂鸦墙的设计，形成吸引儿童停留的活力空间。

The corridor spaces are conceived not merely as circulation paths, but as vibrant venues for a variety of public activities. The width of these public corridors is designed to be no less than 3 meters, a dimension capable of accommodating diverse functions such as resting, reading, and exhibition. Furthermore, on every floor plan, the linear corridor is punctuated by enlarged spatial nodes at 30-40 meter intervals，for example the open reception area on the ground floor and the activity hall on the second floor. These nodes disrupt the monotonous, linear rhythm of the corridor. Enhanced with integrated play areas and graffiti walls, they form dynamic spaces that actively attract children to linger and engage.

看与被看的交互空间

Space of Watching and Interaction

层层环绕而上的无限之环，创造出不同标高和进退关系的室外平台，看与被看的空间游戏时刻在此处上演。富春幼儿园设计中存在几个层次的视线交流关系：一是内圈各标高平台、屋顶与中庭的互看关系。二是内外圈各标高平台之间的视线交流关系。三是幼儿园东侧各层退台与山体公园的视线交流关系，儿童可以在此处亲近自然，拥抱阳光和风，感受森林绿意。看与被看，不是简单的观看，而代表着交流和沟通，是多样行为发生的催化剂。

The “Infinite Loop” creates outdoor platforms at varying elevations and setbacks, where the spatial game of seeing and being seen is perpetually staged. The design of the Kindergarten incorporates several layers of visual relationships. The first exists between the different elevated platforms, roofs, and the central courtyard within the inner ring. The second layer involves visual exchanges between the platforms of the inner and outer rings across their respective levels. The third layer is the visual dialogue between the eastern-tiered setbacks of the kindergarten and the hill park, allowing children to connect with nature, embrace sunlight and wind, and immerse themselves in the nature. Here, seeing and being seen is not mere observation; it represents interaction and communication, acting as a catalyst for diverse behaviors.

幼儿园建筑设计始于2020年，从最初的方案图纸到如今投入使用，将要承载许多儿童对于一处“理想家园”的设想。我们希望能够通过以人为本、自由开放的空间设计，创造一座真正符合幼儿身心特征的家园：在这里，随着时间的推移，儿童的精神生命会自然地得到发展，并为建筑空间带来真正的活力。

The architectural design for the kindergarten began in 2020. From the initial concept drawings to its current operation, it is designed to embody countless children’s visions of an “ideal home”. Our aspiration is to create a haven that truly aligns with the physiological and psychological nature of young children through human-centric, free, and open spatial design. Here, as time passes, the inner life of children will flourish organically, and bringing authentic vitality to the architectural space.
