This house features an engineered wood structure that uses the glued laminated timber (GLT) protocol, with walls and ceilings made of reforested wood (Eucalyptus Saligna from our own plantation). With a horizontal appearance, flat roof, and modular thinking (modules of 120 x 120, hence the name), four different floor plan options have been designed to meet each user's needs.
Sustainability is achieved through an intelligent design, using renewable materials, a clean construction process that avoids excessive energy expenditure in production and waste generation, and with a short execution time, as the manufacturing of beams, columns, and walls is done in the factory, with the pieces arriving ready for assembly.
The House Scheid 120 is inspired by Alôncio Scheid's modular dream from 1970, in collaboration with architect and professor Mauri Poisl, when they designed the House Turiscar, based on a versatile construction process that would allow for various arrangements to satisfy different housing needs. At the forefront of architecture, the house from 1970 serves as the foundation and inspiration for the updated system that comprises the House Scheid 120.
The intention is for the House Scheid 120 to break the paradigm of troubled construction, to be a refuge for those who value time, nature, the senses, and uncomplicated living. We understand that the architecture we create is a movement that transforms lives, and our role is to ensure that this path is an effective process that results in happiness.
A house that combines the ancestral touch of wood with new housing technologies, celebrating architecture, design choices, and the expertise of each supplier. The result is an experience of welcome, well-being, security, and comfort.
