Text description provided by the architects. To draw attention to the entrance of the operations yard within the complex and fast-moving streetscape of Bramfelder Chaussee, a simple yet sculptural element is needed—one that is highly visible from afar and therefore easy to locate.

A vertical pavilion meets these requirements in a remarkably simple and unobtrusive way.

A rigorous sustainability concept shapes the design: the focus on resource-efficient materials for both the structure and the envelope becomes the central design idea—both in construction and in appearance.
