Blanc Coffee & Bakery

Blanc Büyükada is an interior design project created to combine the island’s uniquely calm atmosphere with a modern café culture. The​​​​​​​ design approach draws inspiration from Büyükada’s historical character, aiming to achieve a timeless aesthetic that blends the purity of white with subtle classical details.

In the exterior design, white wooden surfaces, slim-profile joinery, and elegant shading elements form a welcoming look that aligns with the island’s architectural identity. The outdoor seating area features natural marble tables, rustic wooden chairs, and large-scale greenery, offering guests a fresh and airy atmosphere that reflects both the calm spirit of the island and the contemporary café experience. The built-in seating niches beneath the windows strengthen the connection with the street, bringing Büyükada’s social character into the space.

Inside, warm neutral tones, natural textures, and artistic elements come together to create Blanc’s distinctive identity. Sculptural wall faces and decorative relief panels add a strong artistic expression, while the domed niche–shaped service counter reinterprets historical architectural elements with a modern touch. Globe-shaped lighting fixtures and linear light details enhance the soft and inviting ambience.

The custom-designed rattan-backed benches balance comfort and elegance, while brass-toned accents and marble tabletops reinforce a refined sense of luxury. All furniture pieces were carefully selected or specially designed to match the brand’s modern and graceful character.

Throughout the implementation process, every detail—from wall panels to seating units, from decorative reliefs to lighting elements—was crafted with precision and placed meticulously. Ensuring material and color continuity between the exterior and interior helped achieve a strong and cohesive design language.

Blanc Büyükada was envisioned not just as a place to serve coffee, but as a unique social space that reinterprets the island’s architectural and cultural spirit through a contemporary design approach, offering guests an experience centered on aesthetics, comfort, and atmosphere.
