This exciting project in the heart of Richmond seeks to establish a connection between the residents and the Yarra River and its parkland.

Organised around a central landscaped garden, the different blocks were informed by the existing industrial buildings on site as well as the immediate context.

The brick piers on the existing masonry buildings became the catalyst for a design response that is inherently site specific.

A gesture of solidity is created through the base element which is also a homage to the industrial past.
