Inside An Eclectic Vintage Treasure Filled Home

Filled with an exuberant character and boldness, this captivating family dwelling is a precious trove of vintage treasures. Impeccably paired with a compelling fusion of Eclectic Vintage interior, a showcase of curated artistry and nostalgia breathes life into the space — with each having a story to tell. An immaculate blend of vibrancy and muted tones creates the perfect balance of warmth for a relaxing atmosphere. At the heart of the home, a grand display of lego collections serves as a statement piece and a conversation starter. Centred around a blue theme, a splash of different shades is seen throughout the home, bringing forth a sense of calmness and ease. Peranakan patterned tiles and vintage pieces marry marvellously with the contemporary furnishings and fixtures. An air of serenity exudes in their personal sanctuary, coupled with compelling textures and unique detailing for a harmonious balance. Taking on a modern touch, the ensuite bathroom is enveloped in a cool marble tone to radiate a rejuvenating essence.

Interior Designer’s Thoughts

Being avid travellers, the homeowners were inspired to have a home that reflects their vibrant personality and their shared joy of personal mementos from their travels. The main brief consists of a mix of styles and a blue theme in each space. To cater for their family activities, the open concept layout was proposed to create ease of interaction and spatial flow. The original kitchen walls were hacked down to accommodate an island counter and a dry pantry. The living and dining area is where they spend most of their time, hence, it is designed such that they are able to display their extensive lego collection as one of their prized possessions. The interior designer suggested erecting a partition wall at the living room and master bedroom, creating a niche for display shelving and a molding for their bedhead to create depth and dimension. To cater for additional storage space, the master bathroom has been reconfigured to maximise the space with their daily essentials. Two of the common bedrooms were combined which now serves as their sons’ bedroom and entertainment room.
