Lakefront Estate

Through layering, texture, and carefully selected hues, the Andrea Goldman Design team balanced the clients’ desired casual, vacation-inspired ambience with the home’s more formal architectural touches. A Venetian plaster whitewash was used on all the walls and ceilings to unify the spaces, and all fabrics selected were lake-inspired, with blues, greens, and small doses of pattern. Due to the scale of the interiors, almost all furnishings in this home were custom designed so everything felt perfectly proportioned. Though the home is grand enough to house everything the homeowners desired—including a pool, bowling alley, basketball court, and more—each space feels refined and intimate.

The home's palette amplifies the lake views beyond by echoing its blue hues. Textures and plush fabrics make each space feel cozy, even with the high ceilings and impressive scale.

To make this two-level den as cozy as possible, we painted walls a rich gray to contrast the rest of the bright, airy home.

The furnishings in this home were primarily custom to accommodate each room's size, including this 15-foot dining room table.
