Cut into an impossibly steep and narrow hill lot, this single story berm house nestles tightly into its hillside spreading its entire program along a narrow L-shaped ledge. 2 basalt rock retaining walls slide along the back of the house moving seamlessly inside to outside to carve out 2 patios and a sideyard under a razor sharp low-slope hipped roof. The two private bedroom wings hinge around a transparent communal core with a large basalt fireplace.
