House B B
The family home in the Antwerp Kempen region
gives witness to a subdued austerity. The building volume is stripped of
unnecessary ornamentation and the façade speaks through fine gestures of
diversity and detailing. Local materials such as sand-lime brick and wooden
windows create a familiarity in striking contrast with the surrounding villa
projects.
The building volume plays with the composed dynamics through open and closed corners which control intimate outdoor spaces, such as a covered evening terrace, carport and entrance. The surrounding park garden is created organically and embraces the architecture carefully.
