The interior design of this 7,000+ square foot estate is stunning. Considering carefully period features, such as fireplaces and original moldings, while adding modern touches, like statement lighting fixtures, handpainted wallcoverings and bold artwork. A cohesive colour palette and thoughtful furniture placement to enhance the overall aesthetic.

All architecture is shelter, all great architecture is the design of space that contains, cuddles, exalts, or stimulates the persons in that space.
02
Meeting the brief
The design team started with a thorough assessment of the estate’s existing interior elements, including the layout, architectural details, and historic features. From there, the team developed a design concept that balanced the estate’s historical significance with the owner’s vision and practical needs.
The design didn’t need to include the restoration of original features such as fireplaces, moldings, and windows as this had been wonderfullly restored by a previous owner.
Overall, the interior design of this Grade II listed estate in Cornwall required a delicate balance between honouring the estate’s history and character while creating a comfortable and functional living space for modern-day use. The project will required a skilled and experienced design team with a deep understanding of historic preservation and modern interior design.

Brief & scope
The interior design of a Grade II listed estate in Cornwall presents a unique challenge due to its historical significance and preservation requirements. The estate’s age and character should be respected, while still creating a functional and comfortable living space for modern-day use.
The design team worked closely with the estate’s owner to understand their vision and requirements for the space. This includes considering the estate’s use, as a private residence.
