Pray plaza based on client's dream

The story of the prayer room project for Chai-Bagh villa town started from a dream. The dream that the client of the project saw, included a space in which on one side people were praying and worshiping while on the other side a bakery was busy baking bread. The important challenge of ‘pray plaza’ project was the client’s wish to have a space resembling this dream.

In order to eliminate the usual design frameworks while inducing a mystical design concept, MESH design team followed the idea of inserting a transparent green box into the original extruded box-shaped structure of the project.

the interference of a transparent green box into the extruded box-shaped structure, results in openings in the box, elimination of joints between its planes, and finally transformation of the volume into its constituent planes coming close together without touching each other.

The transparent box, having the function of worshiping on one side and a bakery on the other, is also recognized as the fundamental structure of the volume and at its heart, it accommodates various openings to different light spectrums.
