the brief:

Nestled hillside in Pyes Pa, Tauranga, Arvida’s Copper Crest retirement village is designed for the over 65 who wants to do more of what they enjoy, in their aptly named Living Well Community. The Urban Lounge Interiors team were tasked with creating a warm, contemporary and inviting environment through furnishings and fittings in the village’s community spaces.

the outcomes:

Taking a creative approach to the theme of Living Well, our Urban Lounge commercial interior design team layered the furnishings to provide cozy comfort and inspire relaxation for residents and their guests alike. Furniture upholstery and soft furnishing fabrics draw inspiration from nature - the Bay of Plenty’s rich history of orchards and farming is alluded to in the chosen colours and textures.

The chosen finishes, while modern and functional, often have a charming nostalgic quality, with thoughtful inclusions reminiscent of yesteryear: from foliage-printed easy chairs, to the gallery wall of historic photographs documenting iconic moments in Tauranga’s history, to the Kina-inspired vases and native fauna engraved coasters: there are a number of sweet details that keep Copper Crest’s residents connected to their heritage.

The result? A stylish and beautiful, yet relaxed, atmosphere where residents can truly continue to Live Well.​
