McCallan Homes Executive Apartment Development – Townhill Road

AC Architects were appointed by McCallan homes to oversee the demolition of an existing home, before the design of a two-block, modular executive apartment development.

McCallan Homes are a recently-established development and construction company, who utilise off-site modular construction to create beautiful new homes and apartments. The apartments, which will be the first development, will be constructed from SIPs panels – in order to reduce the onsite time and increase the accuracy and performance of the buildings.

After approval for demolition of the existing house, AC Architects started a pre-application enquiry process with Fife Council to review the proposals.

After a successful pre-application enquiry, a formal Detailed Planning submission has been made which should be determined by late July 2015.

The executive apartment development consists of eight 2-bedroom and two 3-bedroom penthouse apartments. They have been designed to fit in with the existing villa architecture style around Townhill Road – a sought-after area in Dunfermline.

The elevated site has views to the Forth Road Bridges, with the materials being of the highest qualities – matching the surrounding properties.

ACA utilized their state of the art 3D modelling software in order to produce photo quality visualisations which will be used for planning and sales purposes.
